TOP 100 Selling games in Last 12 Months(US+EU)

Yeah, I'd really like to know the Steam numbers for PC. Still, it makes me sad that even assuming all PC users bought it on Steam, a High School Musical DS exclusive outsold Orange Box on both consoles.

edit: and to be clear, I think Valve is probably pretty happy with their console numbers... what I'm really saying, is that I should never again be surprised at the power of High School Musical

Some numbers seem awfully low for the franchise.

Diamond and Pearl at 5 millions combined? really? Unless it's 5 millions each

Oh, bitch bitch bitch.
Many of those numbers seem off but holy shit at Drawn to Life and WTF did Spectrobes come from?

I'm guessing that's because it's US and Western Europe only, didn't Pokemon do something like 5 million in Japan alone? That'd be your missing 5 million if so.

well, yeah, can't argue against that.

Halo as an IP is a freaking powerhouse.

It will take years for another (anyone) exclusive/stand-alone game to reach that.

Anyoe has the data about the next best selling game after halo 3 to be exclusive/standalone?

it has to be wii-play right? people buy 2 or 3 of them.
Looking at the chart it would have to be Pokemon at 5 million or Mario Galaxy at 4.1 million for consoles.

Don't be too boastful though, this chart is only US and Western Europe so it shows pretty much every 360 game sold last year whereas it only has between 50% and 90% of DS and Wii sales. Smash Bros. has to already be at 4 million in the US and Japan, is still still selling well in Japan and strongly in the US, and still had Europe to enter the mix. Super Mario Galaxy is still selling well and will get major bumps every Nov/Dec here on out, and we will see how Mario Kart Wii does. I'm not as aware of what's happening on the Sony side but GT5 seems pretty big.

Yeah, it does seem to just be Pokemon Diamond. Looking at Nintendo's annual report it says Pokemon shipped 8.65 million units outside of Japan and if I recall they sold at about a 2:1 difference. Either that or Pokemon was massively popular in Australia, Eastern Europe, Canada, and S Korea.

Shocked to see Drawn to Life do so well, congrats! And even more shocked to see what a monster COD4 is... I must be the only one who doesn't own this game (nor do I have any interest in owning it...). Where the hell did the hype come from?

Assasins Creed was a monster hit. For all the hate it gets on GAF, a lot of people bought it.

:( @ Uncharted. Damnit!

..ouch. I knew PSP piracy was bad, but I never thought it was that bad. Not a single exclusive title cracked 460k. That's just painful.
