Sony announces a joint collaboration with LucasArts to release all Star Wars brand products to PS3 for the next 4 years. One of the flagship titles announced is by Obsidian, named KOTOR III. As an aside, LucasArts announces Mercenaries II for both PS3 and Xbox360.

Nintendo announces that it has secured a partnership with Namco to create a Mario/Pacman crossover series, which seems to be a sort of car combat game based on the properties. It is more like Twisted Metal than Mario Kart. Similarly, they announce a joint project with Namco for three exclusive games, including the next Klonoa. Hardcore audience stunned at that; mainstream audience sort of scratches head.

I think what would make it a megaton is that it would be just capitalizing on the buzz surrounding the final film in the prequelogy, which is probably not a bad idea on Sony's part. Plus, ya know, every so often there's a cool Star Wars game like Jedi Knight or KOTOR
