Since I'm finally getting the Pirates! update I've been waiting on, here's the rest:

NiGHTS 2 - I'd take it on any console.

Space Taxi - I'd like to see this old classic redone and updated for current hardware, with the original as an unlockable.

Grand Theft Horse - What Red Dead Revolver should've been... jack someone's horse and ride-by shoot people with your pistol, do unique jumps across gulches in stagecoaches, pick up jezebels, etc.

1- A 3-D Remake of FFIV with remade cutscenes and all. Like another poster said, I would have sex with this game.

2- An adventure game with the cast of Dead or Alive. Make it sexy. (Ninja Gaiden doesn't count here.)

3- Give number 1 & 2 and there won't be needs for a #3 ;)

Snowboard Kids 3
Nights 2
Powerstone 3
Marvel VS. DC VS. Capcom VS. Sega VS. The World

Sequels Sequels Sequels!

Fact: The DS can access both the GBA media bay and DS media bay simultaneously.

Fact: GBA Video carts can store up to 45 minutes of FMV with audio.

I'd love to see a cinematic adventure game take advantage of that.
Is there anything really special about the GBA Video carts? Wouldn't it just be more practical to store the video on the more cost-efficient DS carts?

1. Nintendo/Capcom "Kingdom Hearts" crossover style game, but with Nintendo behind the gameplay so it's actually fun to play. It would contain Hyrule, the Mushroom Kingdom, Megaman Universe(s), RE, Oni, DMC, GnG, Dreamworld, Metroid, F-zero, Kid Icarus, Bionic Commando, Street Fighter, Final Fight and loads of other Nintendo/Capcom related worlds to explore and have fun in. It would play like a cross between Zelda and Mario and have heaps of good mini games in it. This could also work as an awesome MMOG.
I want this too, but definitely not as an MMOG. And I don't really care about the Capcom stuff.

Also, BG&E2. :(

Eternal Darkness 2
Skies of Arcadia 2
NICO
Disaster Report 2

EDIT: Oh yeah, special props to a sequel to the very underappreciated SNES Capcom game "Demon's Crest", which I believe was made by either Mikami or Kayima.

Whomever matters not though, just make the damn thing already, argh!.

Super Mario Bros. 5.
My friends' idea for an RPG. A 2 player RPG that has one player start from the beginning and the other in the end.
Mario game that features Sonic and the most well-told storyline ever.

I have no idea. I just like the idea of plugging both carts in at once just because you CAN. I wish they'd made more cart/CD combo Sega Saturn games, even though they were able to make them obsolete with the RAM cart.

Both of those are good ideas... the DBZ one would have to be set in a different place and/or time... kind of like KoTOR was...

Yeah of course, it makes me sick how they always cling to the main characters and storyline as huge as the DBZ universe is.

That's the thing, if I wanted a more simplified dungeon hack/experience treadmill, I wouldn't need to post it in this thread since we're already getting stuff like that.

Nothing to do with the simplicity, just the consistency. You can get away with it when you're looking at # and @, but that beautifully rendered 3D sink is going to look out of place in the middle of your beautifully rendered 3D dungeon...

I seriously think a real-time 3D roguelike could be a great game, though. I don't see why all the console equivalents are so dumbed down (Dark Chronicle, Azure Dreams etc.) - the current generation of consoles is more than capable of getting it right.

And YOU need to get EV:Nova. The link is in your BC thread. :)

I may need to install Windows first, unless they're planning a Linux port...

Super Smash Bros. Online with characters from Capcom and SEGA.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Damn the Patriots!

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker 2

Heh, I don't see the problem with that. I mean, there's a Tourist class, complete with hawaiian shirt and flash camera. :P Nethack isn't about medieval authenticity. I don't think they had tinning kits in the middle ages. :P

Absolutely. At least this generation we've been getting some progress with more realtime dungeon hacks as well as beat-em-ups with more complexity. Eventually, someone will put it all together and give us a good action game with better random dungeon generation and deeper item gameplay.

1. Actraiser 3
2. Street Fighter 4
3. Gamefan's rumored Ghouls N' Ghosts game for the N64 that has graphics that blow Mario 64 out of the water.

1) Star Control 2 remake

2) a war game which would really make you realize something about the horrors of war instead of just having fun killing people (movies: Thin Red Line, Paths of Glory (the Kubrick WW1 film) etc.)

3) a game which would last 2 hours to complete, but would have a wealth of emergent/scripted options and thus TONS of replay value. Way of the Samurai tried this but IMO didn't go all the way.

LUNAR 3 : OMG If this happens my life will be complete

Grandia 4 : Something that matches the greatness of Grandia 1. None of them really super impressed me like Grandia 1 did.

DDR SUPER DELUXE MEGAMIX : with every song ever in dance dance

I could put 100 of this, but I will try to be original and going for the artstyle (perfectly translated to the game that´s it):

A Final Fantasy (or any other game) with this graphichs:

ff3.jpg

A Kojima Cyberpunk game (but not a text adventure, and not an action game, somethig like Shenmue would be great) using this graphics (black&white anime "Detective Story" from animatrix:

Full 3D Remake of Super Mario Bros. 3 - I don't know how they'd do it but I'd like to see it done!
SSBM:Online
NiGHTS 2

This thread does show that most people love remakes of good games.

It's a good point.

A good game mechanic never really ages, but the presentation is often outdated in one generation (though this applies mainly to 3d and is a topic of its own).

I would LOVE to have good remakes of (in addition to Star Control 2 I mentioned above):

FF VII
Super Metroid
All 2d super mario games, redrawn in high resolution

Gaijin that's an excellent idea, I was also thinking about how cool it would be if they made a FF game that looks like the concept art, I'd buy something like that in a heartbeat.

A real Phantasy Star MMORPG (OR a PSO with all of the class depth of d2 and about 50x the world to explore)
A real Phantasy Star 5
A third System Shock (or failing that, a game created by Irrational that would be just like the Shock series in spirit, but differently named or whatever)

1. A 3D Mario game where all of the levels are like the secret "pure platforming" areas from Mario sunshine. 100 levels of that and I could die a happy man.
2. Starcraft 2. But don't make it suck like Warcraft 3.
3. 4 player cooperative mode in the 3D realistic Zelda game.

LOZ: Four Swords DS with WiFi

Secret of Evermore 2

A new Megaman game. One that that makes the series fresh like the jump for 8bit(Megaman) to 16bit(Megaman X).

#1. Shenmue 3 for whichever system is the most powerful next gen. It has to be the most incredible looking game ever created, and it has to be the most interactive and immersive game ever created, and it has to have the same English voice over cast as the first two.

#2. ..Fuck it, just give me #1.

FF7 Remake

Andy787, Diablos, wherever you guys are almost 13 years later, I hope you are finally happy. :p

Haha this thread is gold.

Super Smash Bros. Online with characters from Capcom and SEGA.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Damn the Patriots!
Holy shit this is spot on.

A third System Shock (or failing that, a game created by Irrational that would be just like the Shock series in spirit, but differently named or whatever)
Bioshock. Also SS3 is happening.

2. Starcraft 2. But don't make it suck like Warcraft 3.
Lol

For all the Final Fantasy games to be remade like VII is.

I know that's not three games, but that would be incredible. Surely the fact that they're doing VII sets a precedent.

Not at all confident they wouldn't ruin them but good remakes of 6 and 8 would be the dream

Xbox One exclusive action-adventure single player game by any former Bungie employees they can muster up (mainly Staten and Marty).
