Whoa, that seriously looked fucking sick.
I'm kinda sad I gave up reading the HP books after number four.

That is one chilling trailer. Dumbledore looks rather awesome for this outing. Seems much better in the role than in the last two movies.

And Ginny Weasley is hot in that bathrobe. There. I said it. I REGRET NOTHING.

The fourth movie was seriously down there with the worst movies I've ever seen, but, after watching this trailer, I'm cautiously excited about this one.

What about the fifth?
Your thoughts?

This looks so awesome but I'm scared. I was displeased with all the cuts made to the fifth one to save on time. These things are sensitive and so much could be lost with the cuts, I don't know if I could bear seeing something like that again.

Oh my, can I have the full version of your avatar, it's awesome.

That said, this trailer is really cool. Doesn't give away too much although the fans know exactly what's going on.

Dumbledore seems a bit better, although I wish he'd lighten up and joke around a bit.

Anyway, <3 John Williams original score. Is he coming back to make some new music for this, like he did for PoA? or are they just using his main theme again?

I love how the music just stops at one point. So great. Little Voldy looks great. Everything looks really dark and moody at the orphanage.

I just really, really, really, really, really hope The House of Gaunt is in it. Probably the best chapter in a Harry Potter book.

Wat. No!

Williams hasn't done a Harry Potter score since Prisoner. Patrick Doyle did Goblet and Nicholas Hooper did Phoenix, the latter of whom continues to this one.

that movie looks really good but for me unfortunately,
i just dont like the actor who plays dumbledore the first one was MUCH better then the one now i just dont think he suits dumbledore at all...

this book is like half the size of the fifth though

That looks fantastic, but I really wonder how they're going to pull it off. The last few films have missed SO much from the books. Although I have to say, Order of the Phoenix was the most fast-paced and entertaining of all the films so far IMO.

Saw it yesterday and loved it. Oh, and Michael Gambon is Dumbledore. Richard Harris, while always great, performed a "stiff" Albus, almost too sterile in personality, whereas Gambon acts it with all the quirks and humanism Dumbledore is described to have in the books. :D

Whereas I hope they cut about half of HBP's content, so we're about even!

Trailer's emphasis being placed so heavily on Riddle gives me hope that they plan on ignoring most of Rowling's inane minutia in favour of the very cinematic and extremely engaging larger plot threads.

And Harris could have never pulled off younger Dumbledore, and heck could have never pulled off any of the physical stuff, so anyone still arguing that he would do better than Gambon is fighting a losing battle. Criticize Gambon all you want, that's reasonable due to differing opinions, but time was not on Harris' side even before his death.

Only thing I thought Harris has going for him was a better costume, but that's hardly something the actor has much control over. Gambon sounds much more mischievous, which works.

I loved the 5th movie for this reason, they cut out the 600 pages of Harry angsting around Hogwarts. Even Rowling admits the 5th book was too long. Nothing happened in the book till the end.

Guys... it's pretty obvious that this trailer is only highlighting the more dark aspects of the story.

Still, I'm hyped at how great these segments look. The Dumbledore meeting 11yr old Tom Riddle looks exactly how I pictured it.

What is that scene with Harry running through the wheat field? Is that Fenrir Greyback chasing him? Why is Ginny in the same field wearing her PJs and who cast Expelliarmus on her? I don't remember any of that in the book.

It's a movie based on a book with almost zero action until the last 100 pages. You think they aren't going to add stuff?

Hmm... trailer didn't do much for me. Could be because I haven't read the books at all, and have only watched the movies. I'll likely see this, as I'm sure this is just a teaser, but I wasn't particularly impressed with this just yet.

I'm guessing the fight between the Death Eaters and the ex-DA members has been relocated, or extends outside as they escape.

Funny thing- I've been watching Doctor Who as of late, so the question Riddle poses seems strangely appropriate given Dumbledore's getup.
