I had a pretty fast Joshua use a AT Delay attack on Kevin? on the first turn; after blocking his first turn he didn't try to use his S-Craft. Helped me out a lot

Yeah I probably would have been fine if I had had Joshua in my group. Or Mueller. Or heck, even Tita probably powers me through it without too much trouble.

There are a lot of different Jaegers units. I think Northern Jaegers is one that has one of the better reputations but there are 2 other Jaeger groups that I think rank higher in prestige that get mentioned in the other games and even beyond that there are other smaller Jaeger groups.
I think Zephyr and the Red Constellation are the two groups that at one point have been recognized as the top groups.
In FC and SC, it is detailed that
Loewe used his "Lorence" identity to do more than fool the Intelligence Division; he had also seized control over a jaeger group called Jester.

Ah. I managed to track down the source of the problem that was causing the new updated FMVs to play like jank on my system. Turns out the culprit was an old install of Nero 8 Essentials that's been collecting virtual dust in my HDD for years. Guess it came with it's own codecs that were trying to interfere with video playback (but only with these new XviD-encoded 60fps FMVs as far as I know). It's gone now, and vids are running flawlessly from what I've tested.
Holy shit, this happened to mee with another game, Sonic CD. The opening video was slow due to Nero Codecs!
It's the first time in years I read the same problem from another user, despite different games lol so I'm not crazy

Where did this rumor get started that this is more of a dungeon crawler with no NPCs and lots of combat? Because the dungeon crawlers I know of don't have 1-1½ hour long 'cutscenes' with lots of talking, walking, optional talking to NPCs and no combat at all, lol.

Can I learn enough recipes from collecting them from chests and eating the items? I've found a few. I've just never had enough money in the other games to use on ingredients to even experiment with the system.
I mean, those are the two primary ways you get like, 95% of the recipes from, so yes.
