yeah the timing of it takes a little getting used to
I kept getting like 200 points while the opponent got 600-700 every time then it finally clicked with me and I got 950 but they got like 1100 so that was pretty annoying haha
did get it the next try though
I mean they're technically optional but they're still a large part of the meat of the game... and why anyone who plays this game think of even skipping them? They might as well be mandatory, lol.

I seem to be spending half of my time in these doors just thinking "I can't believe this, this is so cool." What is this series.
When that one track started playing at the end, I got SUPER NOSTALGIC for trails of cold steel, which is weird yet awesome. I *need* replay those games when they come out on pc.

Isn't it because her parents died and she was raised in a way that she wouldn't be assasinated ( like her parents ) by hiding her identity ?
The only ones who knew were: queen alicia , the head maid in grancel palace , theresa + her husband , the jenis academy headmaster and julia.

That's where she was hidden during the Hundred Days War, so that she wouldn't get captured or assassinated by Erebonian operatives.
It's amusing that you get a metric for how much time you saved from the played/steam differential. Given the expected length of the game I'll probably end up with a difference of more than 10 hours in SC.
Pretty wild.
That difference was about 30 hours in my playthrough of SC.

So far I seem to have 5 hours shaved off by now, but it's more like 6 because I started a second new game later with a better clear save. Cheat Engine's really too damn good to be true...I wonder if I could use it to clear Sun Door 2 real quick.
Also, Moon Door 3 give Kloe a more interesting and ambiguous side.
. I wish Lucy had more development since she's seems to know more about how Lechter operates.

It's rare to see her so self-absorbed and initially unable to move on from her predicament (preventing the perfect "normal" life she only wants really because she's royalty who people either pamper or want dead) before she realizes it's okay to hang out at Mercia as long as you don't take anything, not even yourself, for granted
Just don't do the more low-key Doors? There's a number of Doors which reveal lore and significant interactions for the series (though you'll miss perhaps the most intriguing one, Star Door 14, which requires you to complete every other Door), but there's plenty others which are fine just being intimate. 5x speedhack helps a lot if you want to

Im case you're like me, and you like to only listen to songs from the OST after you've heard it ingame first, THAT song in Star Door 2 is called Till the Night of Glory.
Especially if you consider that this doesn't even require turning it up all that much. Like, I'm not even rushing through things, I take my time with everything... just at 1.5x the speed
Hell, you could argue I'm taking my time even more then I would do without it, since I'm fighting more battles now then I would have otherwise, haha.

The way that door ended on a teaser, there better be a follow-up star door.
I think it was quickly mentioned in FC or SC, so you shouldn't feel bad about that.

Right now I've got a mouse side-button bound to the area map function, but I'm going to change it to 2x speed and my usual mousewheel side-button to 1.5x so I can travel around easier. I've already qualified for the 300-retreats accessory later in 3rd just because of how many enemies I've run into accidentally at 2x speed.
Kloe's door really wants you to remember and know as much about her as possible before reading. Otherwise it's a great story, but it can be frustrating to others because a major theme is thinking in circles and the general ennui of transferring between institutions.

Well unless they really planned ahead Rean wasn't really a thing- I assume they had the idea for 'school' for the erebonia arc at this point but just vague details for the protagonist.

That's weird, as I mentioned above, I gave up waiting for the thing and just mashed and won more often than not. I'll admit that I was mashing on my gamepad with 5x speed from Cheat Engine going, so the game itself probably did not see it as fast mashing.
I have to do that door again?? But it took so long last time!
The music in this forest area on the 4th plane is very reminiscent of the city of the ancients from FF7, it's giving the that save creeped out feeling.
There's probably an upper limit for how long the game will wait before it gives you the notification. 5x speed just makes it much easier to reach.
Fishing challenge is pretty easy. Maybe it's because I play a lot of strategy games. Gotta build up your ammunition before you unleash the big guns.
Also I recommend using a keyboard, it's easier to depress a key in anticipation of a timing event than rely on a gamepad button. Those who play Stepmania on keyboard can confirm, and those who hated Persona 4's fishing challenge can also confirm.

I had trouble with it until mashing X after the confirm seemed to stop the big fish escaping (or confirmation bias happened)- I don't recall it being like that in SC; if you hit X at the exclamation mark, the fish was caught.

I got some extra dialogue with Agate and the Cromartie High School gang but I'm not sure if there's anything on the level of SC and the Our Rob or Ross fights.

It's one of best thing you could cave in on. Enjoy it's quite a trip so far. Almost done with Chapter 5 myself.
