Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula is $1 to rent on Amazon

Has anyone seen this yet? Wondering if it’s any good. Train to Busan was decent, will probably give this a try tonight as it’s only $1.

  • Four years after South Korea's total decimation in TRAIN TO BUSAN, the zombie thriller that captivated audiences worldwide, acclaimed director Yeon Sang-ho brings us PENINSULA, the next nail-biting chapter in his post-apocalyptic world. Jung-seok, a soldier who previously escaped the diseased wasteland, relives the horror when assigned to a covert operation with two simple objectives: retrieve and survive. When his team unexpectedly stumbles upon survivors, their lives will depend on whether the best—or worst—of human nature prevails in the direst of circumstances.

Ouch. Not even good for some dumb fun?

I think Train to Busan is one of the best zombie movies made. Peninsula is just bad, one of the issues being 100% CGI car chase scenes that look bad. Maybe my expectations were extremely high.
Maybe you'll like it, who knows.

First film was full of over the top drama garbage that the Koreans love to fuse into their films for the lack of actual quality effects. Might give it a try.

Very poor sequel, I had some hopes despite the trailer not being promising, but it turned out crap after all.

I would recommend (re)watching Trian to Busan any day, it's still a great film.

Psa, fans of train to Busan will be better served by Sweet Home. Peninsula was a major bummer.
On the Japanese side Alice in Borderlands is pretty badass too.. a little bit like Danganronpa but live action.
