I finally finished this game last night, after slow-pace of playing since the US release. I also avoided this thread as a whole since
I finished it at level 41 with 18% or 19% of missions done, with no problems beating the final boss (it was actually too easy for me). Its only now reading the last 2 pages I see you can get materia that makes the shit even easier. I just used osmose blade, Vital Slash, Thundaga, wall, and curaga. also the HP++ materia, which gave me 7,000HP.
Overall I LOVED this game. It brought back so many memories of FFVII and i only completed that game once, way back in the year 1999. the music was fantastic (especially the piano theme when you visit Aerith in the church for the second time), Zack was very likable (his animations were joyful, and his character wasnt "too tough" nor "too weak/stupid") . The FMVs were tasty, just like in the PS1 days. Just sad there werent many of them! But i can understand that. And the ending, fantastic and emotional
, that made it a better sense of completion for me.
. The battle system was fine to me, along with random battles, since its a PSP game. Im just not too sure this system will work console based.
Anyways, i dont know, i love it, and strongly advise those of you that hasn't yet finished it, to do so, which then you will know why this is a true prequel in comparison to that GoW:CoO game.

I love how its just a blank screen at the end of the credits, forcing you to quit game
most games just loop back to the main screen, not given you enough time to take in the final events you just witnessed
