Die HardIt's kinda hard to compare. They're not even that similar besides the one day thing. As someone else mentioned Man on Fire is more comparable to Collateral. Collateral, btw.
Here's some more: Die Hard or Hard Boiled? Kill Bill, or The Matrix? Independence Day, or Armageddon? These are the real questions.

Die Hard
The Matrix
Both Independence Day and Armageddon are trash
says the guy who collects VHS tapes.
...still, I love them.
Anyway didn't mean to derail, I should start my own thread. Oh also, No Country for Old Men beats both Training Day and Collateral.
Judgment Night is a good one, Emilio Estevez, Dennis Leary, good old 90s movie. Guys take wrong turn, witness a murder, chased by the goons all night.Anyone know of any more movies like these two? Or know more movies that take place in a single screwed up night? I'm a sucker for these types of movies.

Falling down. Insanely great film. Like training day and collateral it’s filmed in LA and LA is a plot point to the film.Harsh times?
early HD movie cameras who’d thunk they would age like the early 3D games.Training day.I've always hated the way Collateral looked. The whole movie looks really cheap to me.
Yeah, sadly a whole decade of Mann films suffer from this. Hard to watch Miami Vice, Collateral, and especially that gangster one due to the way they look.early HD movie cameras who’d thunk they would age like the early 3D games.
yup, most unrealistic thing is the way they get around in LA trafficWell now I need to watch Collateral. Training Day is one of my favorite movies, and yes, I have it on VHS.
Is Collateral set in LA?
