"smh" at what? For what Beast Wars was, it actually had some substance.

Yeah, let's get this straight. It was kids' cartoon. All of them were adverts for toys. Really COOL toys, and really COOL adverts, but that's what it boils down to.

Beast Wars actually developed some complex characters and interesting story lines, such that even now it's very watchable (i.e. having seen it as a kid and an adult.)
