What trends do you hope die soon?

Personally, I'm absolutely sick of the "let's slow down an older, popular song and change to a minor key for a movie trailer or dramatic moment" thing that seems to continue being popular. There are even articles I found from six years ago where people said "okay, enough is enough" but it continues happening.

Extended trailers in cinemas. A Tenet 'prologue' played before TROS and it felt like it was 30 minutes long, and has actually put me off wanting to watch the actual film.

It's now about immigrant family from latin America who get separated or something because one or more are illegally in the U.S.

It basically seems to be Party of Five: Orange Man Bad Edition.

Synopsis

The next iteration of the series will branch off the old series’ formula, bringing back a few familiar faces along with a group of newcomers eager to make their mark at Bayside High. When Zack Morris, a Bayside alum, becomes California governor and starts closing low-income schools, he decides to move kids to high-performing schools to “fix” the problem of displaced students. The fictional Bayside High, located in the real-life Pacific Palisades, is then bombarded with new, less privileged students, which is a wake-up call for the high school’s student body. Returning cast will include Mark-Paul Gosselaar in a recurring role, along with Elizabeth Berkley and Mario Lopez, who will be series regulars. New faces joining the series, cast by Julie Ashton, are Belmont Cameli, Dexter Darden, Josie Totah, Mitchell Hoog, Alycia Pascual-Peña, and Haskiri Velazquez.

I enjoy the hell out of some of the Marvel movies but really, it's all getting tired. I may love GotG and Doc Strange but I wouldn't shed a tear if capeshit movies became extinct overnight.

Plus DCU movies are awful. Even Wonder Woman I found boring af.

I'm gonna get some backlash for this but there needs to be more big budget "adult" movies. No I don't mean porn, but movies like 1917.

The current industry is too focused on people in tights and Wookies n' shit. Yeah, yeah I know DC tries to be more "mature" but problem is.... well it's capeshit.

But I know "nerd" movies are what rakes in big money so we're stuck with little green puppet Jedi and grown men in spandex.

Edit: best recent movie I saw was 'Flight' with Denzel Washington. No growling bipedal dogs or men running around in underwear. Just a drunk pilot fucking up his life.

Woke culture - It's just getting out of hand. Ruining pop culture like movies, tv shows, videogames and comics. Thankfully, I think companies are now getting the point that shitting on your customer base is bad for business.

Orange Man bad - Okay. We get it. You hate Trump. There's no need to remind us 24/7 how much you hate him. If he wins the next election I hope people will finally just give up and learn to live with the guy for 4 more years.

Videogames as art - Just make your game fun to play and stop talking about how progressive your vision is, you pretentious fucks.

Not all men are sexual predators. And every accusation should be proven through a court of law and not on Twitter. In many countries dog sitting has become a very profitable business. It's just like with kids, people want to enjoy the good stuff, but without all the responsibilities and sacrifices of taking care of a living being. ;)

You need to expose yourself to more movies man. There are heaps of great films that aren't comic related. 2019 alone was an absolute stellar year for "adult" films.

I'm not saying all these films are incredible but they are at a minimum good.
