Triple screen forza

I got this from Teamxbox forums.

The highlight of the miniscule Xbox display is the three-screen Forza Motorsport demo. If you have three networked Xbox systems hooked up to three TVs, you'll be able to play the game in a very cool surround mode where the center screen shows the normal view, and the two side screens display your peripheral vision view. At the demo in the booth, with three large wide-screen TVs, a good seat, and a steering wheel, it's incredibly immersive and almost redefines the console racing experience. The barrier to entry to use this surround mode is high enough that it will likely be used only by the incredibly wealthy or the racing-game obsessed, but it's definitely a cool feature.

I wonder if they could dual SLI 2 xboxes to get 60fps?

Well, if one screen BSODs you can always switch to the alternates. Good idea.

Hahahahah

And if the other runs at 2 fps, you can still look at the 3rd screen

Isn't this a pretty standard feature in sims? GT3 can do it, GT4 can do it, and I wouldn't be surprised if Enthusia could do it, too.

"Haha this thread went downhill instantly. Awesome!"

Considering the CES keynote, i'd have been surprised of it going otherwise :P

I have a video of the 4 screen (yeah one more) setup here: http://www.xbw.nl/game/807 (from E3)

Choose the 4-screen setup video one, and right mouse click download as.

It's four screens actually, at the booth at E3 there was one screen up on the stand looking like it was a high res video of it, but it was actually a real-time sort of 'replay mode' showing the race. Pretty cool.

Still GT4 generally looks better though, which is kinda sad. I hope to be pleasantly surprised by Forza when we get to play the full version.

Maybe that's why they said "almost"? :lol

"What additional effects?"

It was a joke, as in "3 Xboxen are gonna humm so loud that's it's gonna free up the actual sound processing hardware from rendering the engine sounds"", not that there actually are additionnal effects... at all...

But does the seat move around when you play Forza??

I played on that thing for a good hour (combined not straight through), tons of fun. Thank god people avoided the Subaru booth like the plague.

That Subaru GT cockpit was a lot of fun...hope it's at the auto show again next month.

It's high time Sega made another three screen racing sim...F355 was a total blast in the deluxe cabinet.

Before I clicked this thread, I thought I would be funny and post, "Oh, that makes it 3fps!", but GAF is 50 steps ahead of me, per usual. :lol

Call me crazy, but I just download the "4 Screen" video and only saw 3. Where the hell is the fourth?
Like I said it was UP on the stand, playing in replay mode the race they where playing on the three screens.

So the stand with the three screens was there to play and UP on the stand so everyone could see it was the fourth attached screen. Actually I asked the same thing when the developer said there was 4 screens! :) Then he pointed to the one up on the booth which I thought was playing like a prerendered video, but it was a sorta replay mode.

I don't remember if I recorded it (apperantly I didn't)...oops :)
