I remember some people be concerned about violence if Obama was elected, but i'd honestly be surprised if there isn't violence if Trump loses. His supporters seem genuinely unhinged. And he's fed them every conspiracy theory (such as how the only way he can lose is if there's voter manipulation) along the way to make sure they're that way.
I said the samething earlier this year. I'm worried for Hillary and her associates when Trumps loses on election day.

He's also tweeting a bunch about Bill Clinton being a rapist. Retweeted Juanita Broadrick twice:

@atensut: How many times must it be said? Actions speak louder than words. DT said bad things!HRC threatened me after BC raped me.

@atensut: Hillary calls Trump's remarks "horrific" while she lives with and protects a "Rapist". Her actions are horrific.

And then retweeted a brietbart story:
EXCLUSIVE — Video Interview: Bill Clinton Accuser Juanita Broaddrick Relives Brutal Rapes:

He only said bad things guys! Come on; give him a break. This is all just a distraction from jobs leaving to Mexico, Crooked Hillary, emails etc.

Betting if the Republicans get destroyed come Nov, they'll make some changes so another Trump can't get near the primaries let alone the main presidential race. 1 of those things they could do was not have a ton of candidates to allow another Trump to have fox holes to toss grenades out of and hide in while the rest of the field tears itself apart.

I'm curious to see how exactly the GOP will rebrand themselves.

After the Romney defeat, all the talk of the town was how the GOP needed to reassess their approach when it comes to POC, Women, and the LGBT demographics. There solution was to double down on all their bullshit that alienated so many and this Trump campaign is the end result.

Yes. Make it so bad we will never have a Republican President for decades. Just burn the GOP down.

I'm really looking forward to having just one political party. Our government is much better without this kind of opposition. Hopefully we can have at least 80% of the House and Senate within the next two election cycles. Imagine all the shit that could get done with only Democrats in office.

You mean like when the Federalists ruled the federal government? Because that actually turned out rather well.

BURN FUCKERS BURN!!!

DISCO INFERNO!

BURN FUCKERS BURN!!

DISCO INFERNO!

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahhaahahahhahaaahahaahahaa!! This is amazing.

I'm with this sentiment.

At the same time, I don't think Trump has any other choice but to turn away from 'the leadership', which would have voters choose between 'almost favorite son' , 'I need water' and some other scripted asshole.

Regardless of how this plays out, he has demonstrated that the GOP runs on nothing and that there is essentially no overlap between the ideology the party claims to have and the real motivations people use to legitimize their voting behavior.

You wouldn't be saying that if it wasn't the party you support in office. What an extremely short sighted comment.

My theory that this was all a big ruse by Trump from the beginning is right back on course.

Drop out combined with #1 NY times best selling book imminent.

You are giving him way too much credit. He has destroyed his brand. His name is toxic. The most likely answer isn't that he's some evil genius, it's probably that he's just a dumbass.

Seriously I can't imagine how badly this election is going to damage his business when it is all said and done. Trump at 70 has destroyed his entire legacy, which wasn't particularly great to begin with. So close to escaping life Trump relatively unscathed and unpunished for your behavior. Tsc tsc. Should have rode out the clock, dumbass.

Mark Cuban made a good point that while he has created this base of loyal, crazy supporters, these people are Mid to lower class, flyover state people. These are not people that are going to be buying $70 ties. They are not going to be staying at 5 star resorts. They are not going to be going to golf courses.

Ideally, there shouldn't be any parties. Party politics is an awful and inefficient system. There can be plenty of dissent between individuals, and there's great reasons for groups to temporarily form around specific legislation or movements, but these standing, locked parties just fuel an antagonistic "us vs them" mindset that benefits no one.

I would say that we should all be united in a common spirit of progress and a spirited conversation about what future we all want to build together, but... ha, yeah.

I'm actually pretty concerned the GOP is going to come storming back in 2018 similar to the wave in 2010. Aside from having the favorable map, after two years of Hillary "getting nothing done" thanks to standard Republican obstructionism, they'll also have "sane, moderate" candidates on the ballot. Compared to Trump, at least.

I don't think it's going to be pretty, and I think it might apply to 2020 as well.

People rail against parties but there's a reason they exist at all. People have political goals and in a system where raw numbers matter, it 100% makes sense to form coalitions and alliances with people who roughly share your vision. Jefferson railed against parties until he realized that if his vision of America was going to exist, he needed to join up with the people who agreed with him and stop the Hamilton/Madison agenda. Washington was largely critical of parties conceptually but was basically a Federalist and sided with Hamilton on issues.

This doesn't mean everyone in the same party has the same agenda, but there's a reason Heidi Heitkamp and Elizabeth Warren are in the same party, and their relatively shared agenda helps them coalesce and work towards those agendas. Even though their goals may be different in scope, they both have much more in common with each other than they do with Orrin Hatch.

I mean, how are Bernie Sanders and Ted Cruz supposed to have a real conversation with each other about the merits of their positions. They both think they're doing the right thing!

The Presidency has come down to whose accusations of rape will stick with voters more (or in HRCs case - statement of fact against Trump).

2016. Weird. The

Trump is going off on twitter this morning, and is teeing off at the Republicans that are jumping ship. Dude really trying to start a civil war at 10AM on twitter.

It turns out I don't want to be united or have a spirited conversation with white nationalists. I don't have a lot of common ground with people who want me out of the country I was born in.

I see no point in that. All your doing is making it easier to sympathize with Hillary.

How so? Hillary dismissed the allegations of those women as baseless and engaged in victim blaming. She needs voters in 2016 to care more about Trump.

I feel zero sympathy for Bill Cosby's wife defending him against allegations. Same with Hillary. Same with Trump's wife and children.

I would like you to post a direct quote of her doing this.

Well we already have obstructionism in the last decade. The status quo is not working.

What you see as obstruction, they see as preventing disastrous legislation. It's almost as if large swathes of people in this country have different views on how the laws should be shaped. Which is my point - at some point you'll be sitting on the other side, being the"obstructionist" because you have a fundamental disagreement with what they're trying to do. At that point you'll be glad that the system is the way it is.

Yeah but if his fundamental disagreement is "that president is way too black!" he'll still be a complete jackass who shouldn't be allowed to do what he's doing.
