1. Hunting sleeping bears puts the hunter less at risk. Less risk, less chance of extra costs.
2. Year round supply of bear pelts for various industries, ensures steady supply.

I say this as someone who doesn't wear animal products or eat meat. I don't know shit about hunting or the bear pelt trade but it doesn't take a lot of thought to understand why Trump might be against hunting regulation.

Literally a defense force for everything

hunters are technically one of the most pro-regulation groups out there because regulation allows you to sustainably hunt

As if my dislike for the man couldn't get any worse. He's literally doing this A. because his kids are cowards who want to have selfies with dead animals since they're massive nobs and B. because he wants to write off anything Obama did or has ever done.

Also, because he's just a massive wanker all around who cares about the bottom line and nothing more. Wish he'd put himself in hibernation so his kids would mistake him for an animal and hunt him down, see how he likes it.

I joked to someone a month or so ago that Trump was going to sign an executive order legalizing the clubbing of baby seals. This isn't that far off.

Those pictures of Trump's sons hunting are disgusting & just deeply disturbing. What fucking assholes. What is even the point of this bill? Reaching a new low everyday, it's mindblowing.

Congress seems to get a pretty easy ride here on GAF. All the threads about stuff like this center around the fact Trump has signed the laws, not that it was Congress that actually voted for them.

Just saw this. Now I see why Trump still wants to repeal AHCA.

He is "The Grudge" and will do everything to ensure he undoes everything Obama did.

What is he gonna do next? Bring Osama Bin Laden back to life?

If he could, he would.

I for one want to hunt the most dangerous game of all...

Rich, entitled assholes.

Just kidding, I'd have to change my last name to Trump if I were to start hunting protected species.

He's going to dig up the corpse and make Kushner walk it around "Weekend at Bernie"-style.

Look at what the previous administration has left us with, it's terrible, terrible really. I have the best plans in place for dealing with Osama Been Livin, the best, they're secret so I won't tell them to you now, but they're the best. Bigly.

I swear, the day Trump will do something non evil that also has no moral or ethical downsides of any kind will be the day hell freezes over!

Arent Giraffes endangered? Or am I remembering wrong?

It's tremendously easy to confirm this sort of thing before posting you know?

Generally, like with most animals, the problem isn't that "they're endangered so don't kill them", it's that their habitats are being constantly reduced and therefore the areas where they can live are reduced, thus their numbers and thus they're threatened. This doesn't mean that in the areas they live in they're endangered (obviously there are instances where this is the case, though, like Rhinos).

Except in this case the bear is sleeping.

Though to be fair, I read that he lifted the federal ban and left it up to the state - i.e. Alaska - to make and enforce the laws they deem is required for their state. I don't have a problem with that, to be honest.
