HE'S STILL TWEETING?
I can't believe he is still whining about this. He completely electrified the protests and threw them right into the limelight. Help Puerto Rico for gods sake.
HE'S STILL TWEETING?
Is Kaepernick even signed on a team right now?
@realDonaldTrump
Sports fans should never condone players that do not stand proud for their National Anthem or their Country. NFL should change policy!
Nope. He was effectively blacklisted. Trump brought Kaepernick back to the forefront for no reason, just because he was still pissed about it.
No. He's been blackballed by NFL owners. Is Kaepernick even signed on a team right now?

Shouldn't be surprised. That is a real tweet.

HE'S STILL TWEETING?
He's always behaved like this.I'm just going to assume he's having this tantrum because he got wind of some new Russia shit that's gonna break in the near future.
Well said. This shit drives me crazy.I don't really care if some sports fans want a safe space where they can't be confronted with the consequences of their votes and apathy. And I'm unconvinced the argument is anything other than poorly concealed concern trolling anyway.
It's another variation of "Shut up or we'll get more Trump" which ignores the actual reasons Trump won and his consistently falling numbers. In short, bullshit.
HE'S STILL TWEETING?
Trump has spent all day watching football and Twitter
Shouldn't be surprised. That is a real tweet.

He's throwing a temper tantrum now that going after Kaepernick backfired.HE'S STILL TWEETING?
Seems like this would be the most natural criticism for him if you're a Dem politician. How is this not petty and an appropriate way to spend your time in such an important position?
Make nfl white again is what hes saying.Shouldn't be surprised. That is a real tweet.

Yeah, this is against the law telling people to change their policy as a company. A President cannot do this, its in the U.S Code.
Shouldn't be surprised. That is a real tweet.

I still remember back in the day when Bill was running and there was a picture of Hillary at a protest burning a flag. That really pissed me off at the time and I thought that she was a horrible person for doing so. 20 or so years later, Trump has made me think about that time and how wrong I was, and how much my perspective has changed since then. Any form or protest is cool with me, and I wish anyone who actively takes part in trying to fix this mess the best of luck and my full support.

"You goddamn well better stand up for your country," says a guy that magically developed bone spurs when it came time for the draft and then never spoke of them again.Shouldn't be surprised. That is a real tweet.

God, the fuck the GOP. Defend your Goddamn country.
I'm sure some veterans are bothered by it, but if they are they should probably question why they decided to serve in the first place.Veterans are fine with it. In fact, they encourage it so it's not disrespectful. Also, the NFL seriously pissed Trump and his dopey Minions off. They're going apeshit on Twitter and posting boycotting memes lol
And he is facing no legal pushback or repercussions 🙃A sitting US president is calling for a corporation to fire employees and change their code of conduct and half the country advicates it.
We are fucked.
Athletes should stick to sports if bakers agree to stick to baking.
Sounds like your whole position is "there are a lot of indifferent, offended or just straight up hateful white people out there so just lay back and take it or else."
I hate the whole Trump has made everyone a constitutional scholar thing, but according to a straightforward reading of this, I dont see how he hasnt violated it multiple times in the past week. Especially with RTing things saying people should boycott the NFL. Like, what if the president went on TV and said American citizens should boycott Apple, or Walmart, or Coca-Cola? Regardless of how you feel about those companies, that just seems unconscionable to me.
Some say this isn't political. Really? Yes it is, its about the flag. You don't get more political then that. It represents our country.
And he is facing no legal pushback or repercussions 🙃
Could you just imagine if Obama said to get this son of a bitch off the field?
Those people in the last election were ignorant/racist, helped along by the vast propaganda machine working through facebook/twitter. Couldn't tell you how many not-quite-MAGAs were convinced that Hillary issued a statement about how she would take away all guns during the campaign. Those people view sports for the wrong manner then. But to each their own.
I'm just going to tell you this. You're going to have to understand it. These people exist and have just as many rights as people that adamantly pick one side strong or the other.
You NEED to understand this is a thing. If you want proof, just look at the last election. Things are different from 10, 20, 30, 40+ years ago. Adapt to give those people an answer, to get them to support you, or you're not getting anywhere, again.
Calling these people ignorant or racists just because they don't agree with one heavily leaned side's view is not going to win you favor. Instead, it's going to embolden one side, and cause resentment with the middle ground. Like it or not, that's the cold hard truth.
Veterans are fine with it. In fact, they encourage it so it's not disrespectful. Also, the NFL seriously pissed Trump and his dopey Minions off. They're going apeshit on Twitter and posting boycotting memes lol

Washington Post said:There is a law on the books, 18 USC 227, that makes it a crime for a federal government official solely on the basis of partisan political affiliation to withhold or threaten to withhold an official act, or influence or threaten to influence an official act, with the intent of influencing a private companys employment decisions.
The presidents comments probably dont meet that standard in two respects. It would be tricky to prove that his demands that athletes respect the flag are equivalent to targeting them solely on the basis of their partisan political affiliation, and theres no indication he or anyone working for him has made or threatened an official act to make NFL teams comply with his demand.
Trump is everything the GOP tried to say Obama was, except for being a secret Kenyan Muslim.
I doubt anyone in NASCAR would take a knee anyway but I would have loved to see that dude fire someone and get sued. Getting fired for this kind of shit has to be fought against.
Give it time
Mark my words, you will see a pro curler kneeling before a NASCAR driver
