Trump to African Americans: "What do you have to lose?, You're living in poverty"

Dangerous maybe but all evidence suggests otherwise. Single digit support from black Americans, ~10% support from those from a hispanic background, very narrow lead amongst white voters.

If this was a sheer popularity contest, then maybe Trump can win. But it isn't, electoral college system makes sure that it isn't. Trump literally has no robust ground game in key swing states.

So yes dangerous. But Trump isn't going to win unless Hillary Clinton magically sets fire to Donald Trump during the debates while claiming she's the kin of Satin. I'm confident enough to throw down $20,000 on a Clinton victory because every single piece of evidence suggests that a man who have less support from minorities and white voters can previous Republican candidates should not win.

i agree with you.

but three months is a lifetime, and we gotta blind ourselves to the supposed rising odds against Trump. because that's all they are. odds.

there's so many media cycles left, and Trump sucks up coverage like a vacuum. negative coverage, perhaps, but he's always available on the phone, always spinning, always right there on TV, being referred to as a candidate, being debated, in front of millions of eyes day and night. turn on the tube, open the CNN site, flip on the radio, there's Trump. there is some truth to the old saying - the one about bad press

also, the debates this cycle will be insane.

i believe it's best to consider the odds against us. to fight with grit until the last second

I don't expect any political party to fix anything. I'd vote for the candidate that would be most beneficial to all Americans which would be Hillary. However, what I don't appreciate is policies that make things worse off for communities, hence why I wouldn't vote for Trump. Arguably many of Bill Clintons policies made things worse for African Americans and Hispancs. All I'm saying.

it's a point that should not be forgotten lest history repeat itself yet again, to be sure. The general problem I see is that so many people have been going for the "both sides are the same angle" so often that people are up in arms almost instantly regarding Hilary and general critique of the Dems.

Yet, I feel like there will likely be far more room for discussion of that sort in more peaceful times when there isn't something like the current GOP and its Trumpter fire breathing down the necks of every non cis white male in the country. Priorities and all that.

Now he's tweeting out the super predator clip

Alright, now let's dig up some of the shit TRUMP said in 1996.

Not 1996, but here's a Trump statement from his 2000 campaign withdrawal:

So the Reform Party now includes a Klansman, - Mr. Duke, a Neo-Nazi - Mr. Buchanan, and a Communist - Ms. Fulani. This is not company I wish to keep.

Oh how things have changed. Trump has no problem associating with Klansman and Neo-Nazis today.

Look, the Super Predators thing is bullshit and offensive, but they should be about as relevant to the current conversation as Trump's previous purported liberalism.

"In my eyes you all lead terrible lives. I can't have a worst opinion of how you live so vote for me."

It surprises me how often this guy puts his foot in his mouth.

When (outside of a video game) does a "gangbanger" dresses like the cartoon here?!

Military fatigue pants, leg holsters, pouches on the waist and other nonsense like bandanas all over the head.

Ain't a matter of when but to whom. The "Crime Statistics Bureau" wants you to be instantly afraid and know that we're at war. Bandanna is a nice touch so that the people like Trump and white supremacists who bandy it about know that any black person can be under that mask. You never know.

Before or after 1865?

Woodrow Wilson was also more evil than Trump.

To show the utter hypocrisy of "All Lives Matter", most "All Lives Matter" folks also says "Blue Lives Matter". Which means they know full well "Black Lives Matter" doesn't mean "Only Black Lives Matter", and thus, "All Lives Matter" really means "All Lives Matter except the Black ones."

I wonder what someone who says "blue lives matter" would say if I responded with "no, all lives matter".
