The Turkish military says three of its soldiers have been killed and 10 more wounded in Syria by an air strike allegedly launched by Syrian government forces.

"In the air strike assessed to have been by Syrian regime forces, three of our heroic soldiers were killed and 10 soldiers wounded, one seriously," it said in the statement.

- First time Turkish soldiers killed in Syria.
- Turkish officials claim Syrian government was behind the attack while Syrian forces claim that it was ISIL.

Two people have been killed and 21 others injured in a car bombing outside the governor’s office in the southern Turkish city of Adana.

- 5 are in critical situation.,
- We don't know if the two attacks are connected somehow.
- Adana is right above Antakya, where there is a Syrian border.

will learn eventually
We don't know if the Syrian government was behind the attack and I won't trust anything that comes out of Erdogan's mouth so I don't know really.

Does it really matter though? If Erdogan wants to use this as a scapegoat to increase their presence in Syria, he will.

It matters because of Article 5 of the NATO treaty. They couldn't really invoke it here but if Syria attacks Turkey's sovereign soil, it will be.

Misread your reply, sorry about that.

Look at the Live Syria Map

Assad, Russia really don't want Turkey to take the ISIS stronghold of Al-BAB

if Turkey retaliates they might hit Russia and Nato wouldn't want that

but seeing as Russia and Assad want Turkey not to gain Al-Bab so much and seeing as they are already basically at the doorsteps of the city then taking it is the right choice then backing down

Edit: What should be noted here is the YGP/SDF alliance right now with Putin and Assad
