Two new Castlevania: CoD (PS2) screens

yurk.
optimism... hard.

trying! goddamnit, he seemed to recognize everything that's wrong with LOI. and he panders to his fans to an almost comical degree. come on, IGA, make this one work.

I don't see what's wrong with those pics. I mean I'm not expecting the game to be gorgeous graphically as LoI and Nanobreaker showed that his 3d engines are a bit lacking.

Those pics just show a few enemies (which look fine) and a decent looking battle interface.

Need more pics with stuff like platforming and hallways before we can really comment either way.

well it's alot brighter, which I don't really care for, models are a bit ugly, the environments in these shots look bigger though which I wouldn't mind

Castlevania: LOI, while repetitive I found it very very fun believe it or not. Dull in some parts but really exciting in others. I liked the soundtrack too, it was okay.

I'll most likely end up buying this in the future, I'll keep an eye out for this one.

I want to like this game so bad, and I know I'll buy it, but so far it appears largely unimpressive. But it could end up owning LoI in the gameplay department.

Apparently, COD will have Nanobreaker's combat system (that's why Nanobreaker was an experiement).

Now, with Nanobreaker's combat system, and visuals/environments that look like that, I don't see how COD is worth playing especially with some of the key action games already out. And I'm sure you know what they are.

This game looks even worse than LOI...

yyyyeeeah, so i guess i'll just download the ost and save myself the misery. i wonder if iga will give up on 3d now. or turn castlevania over to a team that can handle it.

Based on how it's looking, I kinda wish the initials were LOL instead of COD.

Also, WTF is with that ass icon? It's like an ass emitting soundwaves. I can think of no logical explanation. Which doesn't mean I don't like it. It's the most interesting thing in these shots.

Nanobreaker also showed that his 3D games SUCK ASS. :) I'll be more than willing to give this new Castlevania a try, but I'm not expecting much this time around.

Taunt, probably.

And even though this looks like a second gen game and will probably play bad, I'd gladly put money down on this rather than yet another 2D Metroidish rehash

dunno why they insist on going 3D when SOTN sold better than LOI, have a feeling this is gonna turn out like Chaos Legion cause that "Devil" system sounds just like the Legions

LoI is stellar if you compare it with Nanobreaker. I still have faith, but I have more interest in DS one.

It's a fucking crime what Konami's doing to their Castlevania license in a 3D space. For christ's sake, does no one over there play the competition? Games like GoW and DMC have proven that Castlevania can be done right. It's just a shame Konami ignores the signs and continues to deliver sub-par 3D CASTLE-FUCKIN-VANIA games. It's like their purposefully doing shitty 3D versions so that the fanbase craves their 2D efforts even more. Just do a hi-res 2D console version of Castlevania and call it a day, you dumbasses.

The game looks bad so far in all the screenshots i've seen, especially because of all the dull colors.
Maybe it'll be fun (I hope), but I don't have a good feeling about this one.

Well, I'll buy it, just like I bought LOI, when it hits $19.99 or less. Which I don't think will be very long at all.

LOI was an okay action game, but sucked by CV standards. This one looks even worse, IMHO.

I DON'T want my CV games, 3D or not, playing like a repetitive DMC or GoW fast-action game.

Don't know if this was a response to my post but my comment was about presentation and presentation only. NOT gameplay (although there was nothing bad about GoW or DMC's gameplay either).
