Snake eaters I say.

I think they both have issues still with performance.

What's the prices of them both? Whichever one costs less.

SH2 on PC is great but it's not good on console. It's a bad reflection and aliasing experience for performance and the 30fps mode is not the smooth kind.

MGS3 at launch when I played was just great on pro with only real issues being at the end with the shagohod.

The better game IMO is silent hill 2 if you've never experienced like I had. MGS3 a sliver less but a better game you can play over and over again.

TLDR both,

Silent Hill 2.

Snake Eater might be the most creatively-bankrupt quick buck remake I've seen yet.

Don't like either but MGS3 Remake is better.

Now Silent Hill 1 and 3 Remakes would be a different story as those two were the best Silent Hill games.

If you prioritize gameplay = SH2 Remake
If you like a whack, "Kojima" ah meta story = MGS Delta

Personally I recommend both, especially SH2 Remake as it's 50% right now. MGS Delta is seriously a breath of fresh air in the current slop era, the story, characters, plot and the whole silliness, the bait, the memes are so good, truly art. Gameplay is quite limited and sometimes tiresome, it's a "once done and uninstall" type game (obvious: twists and surprises work once.)

SH2R shines in gameplay and length, you can replay the game multiple times, it's probably the best survival horror after the post 2017-RE games. RE4R still king, always will be the king.

If only one could place Snake as the lead in Silent Hill 2 and James as the lead in Snake Eater...
Perchance to dream...

Both good but i enjoyed sh2 remake much more, the improved voice acting and digital acting help selling the story much more, mgs3 original graphic and voice acting already sell the silliness/epicness pretty well.

Sh2 also improved the gameplay and level design a bit, mgs3 improved something but it still feel like and old game with old ass level design and just a coat of paint for the most part.
