Thomas wasn't afraid of the neighbors dog. He should have been.
The neighbour's dog wasn't afraid of Thomas, following the boy happily into the forest. Thomas emerged from the trees a few hours later, alone.
The forest watched eagerly as the young boy and the small dog entered. Needles and leaves fell in uncontrolled anticipation.

The sounds of the winds rustling through the leaves grew to a deafening pitch as the boy and the dog entered the forest. Muted screams and muffled barks were the last anyone had heard from them...

You and your best friend, Eve, are on vacation together and stumble back to the hotel after a great time doing some shots. As always, Eve looked out for you by taking the room upstairs since you are afraid of heights, which makes you feel even worse an hour later when you look outside your window and see Eve's lifeless body that had crashed to the pavement from three stories above.

Awaking from his slumber Matt took a bite from the fork held in front of him. As the metallic juice dripped from his chin he realizes the tub is full of ice.

It's hard to explain my sorrow in such few words. Just come back when the full moon rises and the truth by it self will materialise.
 
I lay on the ground as the car comes to a screeching halt, with bright red crimson lights just a few feet away. The crimson lights dissipate and are replaced by the brightest white I will ever see.
 
After his grave error today, his wife simply whispered in his ear:

Bumping because it's getting to be that time of year. My wife heard about these on the radio and I whipped out my bookmark for this page and we were both reading some to each other. Now in bed, I'm scaring her with my own so I figured I would share and also so I'd have more to read from you all tomorrow =).

They felt the tugging on their sheets as their little one climbed into bed during the middle of the night. Only then did they hear the thumping of their son getting out of bed and heading towards their room.

"Never sleep with your limbs hanging off the bed, that's how you get nerve damage" he insisted.
"Is that what that tickling sensation is?" she asked.
 
Not mine, but I always found it unsettling:

In the backyard, after the family moved away: blue chipped bowl, worn-out dog collar, torn little boy shorts, Dinosaur T-shirt, rope, rusty can, child's mask lined with sand, the faint outline of a grave, dog leash lying like half a set of parentheses.

Then you remember: the family had no pets
