Two sentence horror stories

The ghoul stood on the bridge at midnight, its lips were all a-quiver.
It gave a cough, its leg fell off, and floated down the river.
 
With trembling hands, I slowly lifted the gun to my temple. In the mirror, I could see my face contort into a grotesque smile as my finger started to squeeze the trigger.
 
While lying in bed, a man thinks about how he should have told his daughter that she should stand on her ceiling before flying out the window to escape her bad dreams.

The next morning, his daughter wakes up having slept well and says she flew out of her window from the ceiling as he suggested and was able to escape her nightmares.
 
I begin tucking him into bed and he tells me, “Daddy check for monsters under my bed.” I look underneath for his amusement and see him, another him, under the bed, staring back at me quivering and whispering, “Daddy there’s somebody on my bed.” - justAnotherMuffledVo

(This one made my arm hairs stand up)
 
As the needle descended into his cornea, Roy absurdly wondered for a moment if he had left the gas on the stove at home.

He had.
 
An eyeball drops from the mirror into the sink but you do nothing except watch as it rolls around the basin before disappearing into the mouth of the drain. You look up to see your reflection scrambling to recover it, struggling with one hand as the other is trying to stop the flow of pus and blood spouting from the vacant socket.

The children stand there until you blink. They're gone now, but suddenly you feel fingers clawing inside your mouth.
 
I've drawn a little picture at each floor of this highrise over the past few months we've been constructing it. Now that's it's complete, it'll be nice seeing the cartoon in motion.
 
best one I've ever heard was written by Frederic Brown.

"The last man on Earth sat alone in a room. There was a knock on the door"

I'm not sure who came up with this variation, but I heard it through SF Debris:

"The last man on Earth sat alone in a room. There was a lock on the door."
 
Two 2-sentence stories. They work together or separately.:

It was the middle of the night when I awoke to the see the shadow of a small girl staring into my bedroom from down the hallway. My niece should have been asleep in her parent's house, 40 miles away.

"What are you possibly doing here?" I asked the infant, rhetorically. She spoke her first words very clearly: "I came to watch."
 
"I'm scared of the monsters! Please stay in bed with me." she said hugging my leg. I gladly obliged as I begun taking off her dress.

I really hate it when they scream said the woman as she dipped another into the boiling pot.
That's just air coming out of their bodies the other reassured her as she reached for another babe.
 
The same dream as ever, is his mind playing tricks? Suddenly woken when his alarm clock hits 6:00:
It's Groundhog Day!
 
"Help! Someone!", he screamed desperately as the cold dirt quickly deprived him of all his senses.

Such is the price of death.
 
"Did I leave the stove on?" I wondered aloud stepping away from the door.
It was only after the pounding on the door and the screams came that I was relived to know that I did.
 
" Alright , just one more race and the Gran Turismo 5 plat will finally finally be mine" I said as I turned on my PS3.

I heared three loud beeps and a red light started flashing...
 
The gunman quickly ran out the house, with the man clutching his bullet wound, contempt with his imminent end, and wondering what people will think of him after he is found dea-...!

"The man was shot at 12:33pm this afternoon, before crawling to his laptop and attempting to delete files of some sort before dying, luckily, he didn't empty the Recycle Bin." said the Detective as he reached forward and double-clicked.
 
He died having lived a life of wrong doings and crime. As he opened his eyes, he knew his excruciating pain would never end as he realized he was in hell.
 
He lived to the age of 100 years and through this century he lived an amazing life of good times and cherished moments. Soon after his death, a feeling of joy came over him as he was floating in a space unlike anything he had ever seen and in the distance was his wife approaching him.

Ahh this isn't horror. Oops.
 
There was a certain peace and serenity to the snowfall. Beautiful and delicate crystals rained outside as the fires and lights dimmed inside. We stared out in wonder, watching with amazement as the entropy of the world was ground to a halt. Our eyes met once more, happy and sad at the same time. We popped the pills from our shivering hands and joined the world in it's growing enthalpy.

Every night, the same cat would stare into the old man's window as he sat watching tv on his comfy chair; just staring, face barely visible but there. It wasn't until he lost power one night when he noticed the cat had no ears... if it was even a cat at all.
 
I have heard people talking, seemlingly in a room below mine.
I find it weird, as my room is on the ground floor.

It turned out placing my TV underneath my loft bed wasn't a good idea. While it is cosy, it can be unsettling to see lights coming from underneath my bed at night.
 
I have this thing where I imagine behind every object is someone hiding from me, forever unseen, but I know it's just my mind. Whoever's behind my flatscreen tv with the bunny earred antenna on their head ain't fooling anyone.
 
As Evan adjusted his mask, he immediately knew why the lake was so murky that nobody had ever bothered to swim around it with a mask. If they had done so, they would have known the lake was part of a swamp belonging to a mass burial ground, and something just grabbed his foot.
 
A dive into the sea and one duck of your head beneath the waves were all it took. Looking up, you realise you can't see the boat - only the waves lick mischievously at your neck.
 
I awoke on the sofa at dusk wondering what had disturbed me, as the stillness of the room confirmed that our baby still slept. Puzzlement turned sharply to dread as I glanced at the cot, at the tall dark shadow reaching inside.
 
"Remember, your lines and cues because we need to be the most convincing ventriloquist team with the most life-like puppet in the world." He couldn't say no, not when the man had his arm elbow deep up an incision in his back.
