They make some good points and some that i think are wrong.
Big one i agree with is that what is shut down is not based on science. Grocery stores are probably the worst vector for virus tranamission and we know based on NY that a huge swath of asymptomatic people are going to grocery stores every day. Yet somehow you cant stand in a park alone or sit at a cafe alone ?

Thumbnail clearly shows the video title and OP still finds a way to put an incorrect apostrophe into the thread title. This is very troubling.
I dunno if groceries are a good example because how would we eat?
Restaurants were limited to pickup only, but that wouldn't work for grocery stores.
It depends do you want to eat or stop the virus. Groceries being essential doesnt give them a special shield against covid. And consider covid lives on plastics for days especially in cool damp places and that case of water you bought is full of CV.
Groceries are essential for food so a choice was made to allow the virus to grow and transmit there because the alternative is way worse people starving to death. But its not because its safer or anything.
Thats the point i agree on. There isnt a scientific reason why lowes or wal mart is opened but a park is closed.
Anyone else think both these guys are gay ?
It has nothing to do with anything or change my opinion in what they say. And the black hair guy looks pretty buff.

And were are the minority POC MDs? You seriously expect me to watch and listen to two white guys after what has happened in the world?
Umm slavery.
Umm colonialism.
Umm oppression of women
The fuck out of here with this racist dog whistles
There gay.

Scientific reason:
- People need to eat
- People don't need to go to parks
There you go. No one ever claimed grocery stores were safe.. lol.. your entire point is based on a straw man. Grocery stores are open because they are essential; they then are imposing rules and recommendations for relative safety and asking people not to go if they don't need to.
You can still go outside?Lack of Vitamin D is cited as a big risk factor among people dying from COVID. You know how you get more Vitamin D? Sunlight. It's almost as if they WANT people to get compromised immune systems and have half the population die from this for some reason...

There is no reason the government cannot send each person 2 weeks worth of rations. Bread, grains, water, cheese, some meats, etc...
Not really. There is no reason the government cannot send each person 2 weeks worth of rations. Bread, grains, water, cheese, some meats, etc... Would it be a bit more difficult possibly, but it would be much safer and stop the virus from spreading.
Even your reasoning is really political and social and not based on science. If we closed grocery stores it would create mass panic and probably riots. But it isn't making anyone safer and consider that 13.5% of New Yorkers who go to grocery stores have the virus its essentialy the perfect vector for transfer of the virus.
Someone standing alone in a park especially in humid and sunny weather probably has a much lower chance of transmitting and catching the virus then the people going to the grocery store.
If we want to stop the virus from spreading we should be closing places that would have the highest rate for transmission.
LOL
Just immediately pull a system out of their ass for gathering and sending 100's of millions of rations every 2 weeks?
Totally the same thing..Britain pulled out the highly-successful furlough scheme out in about the same amount of time, that prevented employees getting sacked from this pandemic and still get paid. America's a mix of being lazy as fuck and wanting to vote against their own interests.
LOL

The virus is more likely to survive for longer in humid weather than dry weather.

It depends if you want to stop the virus or not. China was welding people in their homes to get rid of it.
All I am going to say is that a grocery store is much more dangerous for transmission than being out in a park.
If we take that decision to make a risky vector for transmission of the virus its not based on anything scientific outside of stopping riots and people starving because there isn't a way to get people food other wise.
Im going to go to the grocery store right now because I need food. But I know that I am taking the risk that the CV could be out there and I feel a lot less comfortable vs if I was going to go chill in the park for a few hours.
The DHS said increased humidity, temps and sunlight significantly decrease the virus half life. Unless I got the humidity part wrong?
No one is stopping people from going outside. Try an argument less stupid.Lack of Vitamin D is cited as a big risk factor among people dying from COVID. You know how you get more Vitamin D? Sunlight. so you don't care about the owners of so-called non-essential businesses? are they not human? do they not feed? -- such compassion!Grocery Stores are allowed open because for many people its the only source of food; its not that its safe to go there; it really isn't...but it has to stay open as its the primary source of food. Parks, Salons, Bars, etc are all non-essential as they have risks of exposure but don't have any benefit.
A virus with less than 500,000 deaths worldwide and we shutdown our entire world economy over it. You honestly don’t think there wasn’t some exterior motive? People are delusional.*clicks video*

Now imagine if there wasn't a shutdown and how many dead there could've been.A virus with less than 500,000 deaths worldwide and we shutdown our entire world economy over it. You honestly don’t think there wasn’t some exterior motive? People are delusional.

It's not just the people who die from Covid (which we don't have a good grasp of yet as far as I'm aware), but also the extra deaths caused by an overwhelmed healthcare system. Just looking at the normal death rate from the past years compared to this years shows you the increase. Now imagine that *without* a lockdown.I mean we will have to imagine because we will never know.
So far smart money says this thing is about 5 times more dangerous then the flu. So somewhere around 300k in the US when you include overwhelmed hospitals?
So a few hundred thousand people (mostly elderly) vs 30 million unemployed and trillions in debt.
This is the worst deal in the history of deals, maybe ever.
Now that's just fear mongering. Stanford showed that COVID-19 was far more widespread than anyone thought and pretty much showing that staying home did nothing. But OK, believe what you want. Now imagine if there wasn't a shutdown and how many dead there could've been.
parroting the vacuous Vietnam comparison. good jobMore have died in a matter of weeks than died in the Vietnam war.
Its about reducing the number of causalities; so next time you try that gotcha, maybe you should get a bit more education instead of sounding like some hick.
That is just straight up fear mongering and you know it.More have died in a matter of weeks than died in the Vietnam war.
Could you show what the study says about it? The article doesn't really say what you're claiming. Obviously there's a lot more infected than we know. A lot of people don't show symptoms and testing is lacking in most countries. Now that's just fear mongering.
