This was my thought as well. I never loved the decentralized nature of it....whoops!

The only thing I can imagine someone was trying to accomplish by suing a hashtag was to literally erase the discussion on Twitter, Facebook, etc. And what that tells me is that the people who want to silence those voices are fucked up.

A lot of peeps ITT are making jokes and not seeing that it’s part of the ongoing strategy of trying to redefine rights movements as criminality and terrorism. It happened with the Panthers, NOI, the civil rights movement and many of its leaders.

While it failed this time, its important to recognise it for what it is because it’s a tactic that is guaranteed to be used again in future.

If this is the same attorney who has a website in that name, the firm appears to be basically a personal injury specialist, what I would call an ambulance chaser, operating in Baton Rouge.


Somebody answering that name and description tried to start a fundraising campaign to sue Black Lives Matter on a crowdfunding website YouCaring.com , but the campaign page was removed by the owners because its purpose violated their terms of service. So she went to GoFundMe, who allowed her campaign to remain. It has raised $505 of its target of $20,000, from 12 donors.
