i'm no fan of bader, but bones rubs me the wrong way. i'd like to see him lose.
I'm not a Jones fan by any means, but I don't see how Bader could beat him. I hate Jon Jones, but I will see that he is an amazingly gifted fighter.

Anyway, this is what I got:
Anderson "The Spider" Silva (Champion) vs. Vitor "The Phenom" Belfort
Forrest Griffin vs. Rich "Ace" Franklin
Jake Ellenberger vs. Carlos Eduardo Rocha
Jon "Bones" Jones vs. Ryan Bader
Miguel Angel Torres vs. Antonio Banuelos

I didn't pick anyone in the Forrest/Ace fight, because those are my two favorite fighters to watch and follow and I honestly don't want to see either one lose. I guess, if I had to pick, I would give it to Ace? Maybe?

Edit: And I think I might buy that Slone poster up there. Certainly not an autographed poster, fuck that price, but I think that poster would look nice framed on one of my walls.

What is there to "hate" about Jon Jones? He's a good fighter and has an excellent attitude and general demeanor. He's also been paying his dues with a relatively slow climb up the ranks.

It's easy to hate him if you hate talent.

I prefer the GSP kind of talented guys, always respectful of their opponents.
But yeah Jon Jones is a beast.

Love Vitor, but honestly have no idea why he is in the spot he is currently in. I have a bad feeling ring rust will be a huge factor for him.

This card is just amazing. (Although not interested in Forrest v. Rich at all)

this. he comes off as a smug a-hole. but i respect his game, hes demolished everyone hes faced and bader will be no different... i'd just like to see him humbled a bit.

Both Silva-Belfort are among my absolute favs, so I'll be okay if either prevails. Just hoping for a good fight there.

Rest of the card looks great too, can't wait.

Jon Bones Jones will not lose.

Jones is definitely ripe for a fall, seems to happen to all the blue chip prospects lately.

We'll see, should be interesting.

Expecting Silva to win. He's the only UFC fighter I really care about. Incredible technique and doesn't act like some macho hardass.

Eh, I like Silva and am by no means a hater but he does show disrespect and clown around at times. Not a big fan of that.

I can't believe Cerrone's on the prelims. Motherfucking :jakncoke He's a bit of a cocky ass but that guys seems to be always ready for a war and is dangerous on his feet and in guard. I think he's really fun to watch fight

Miggy Tor!

Agreed, but he doesn't seem to have the hardcore, tapout, no mercy personality of a lot of others. Some of those guys need a bubble bath and scented candles.

He may be on the prelims but at least he's on Spike, he'll get eyeballs on him and his sponsors will pay well to be on cable.

come on now, bader was on his way to a decision loss against keith freaking jardine until jardine pulled a jardine

KEITH JARDINE

i want belfort to win but don't see it happening.

seriously.

According to UFC.com Jones has avoided 100 percent of all takedown attempts.

Looks like Bader is going to have his hands full

I think its because of his fight with Vera. It was when Vera rolled away after having his skull cracked and Bones kept pounding on him. Wasnt all Bones fault as Herb Dean let it carry on. Bones should have stopped when he seen what Vera did.

Dude is young and a bit wild but will probably calm down soon enough ......needs to be a bit more like Mousasi, when you got someone beat just stop and walk away.

Yeah, I felt Jardine was gonna win that one. Bader is gonna get crushed (unless flash ko).

Most likely when Bones wins, who will his next opponent be? I know Dana doesn't want him to peak too early but jesus....the guy is disgustingly athletic and is def among the top 3 at 205, shit I'd put him and number 1....

Winner of Griffin/Franklin would be a good match up I think. He still needs to get a big name win on his record before he can challenge for the title.

I'm a fan of both Anderson and Vitor, but I must say that I'd like to see the champ keep his belt. Vitor's a sniper with Mike Tyson-esque power, but Anderson moves better than anyone else in MMA. Then again, he got rocked by Chael Sonnen, so you never know what can happen.

As for the Franklin vs Griffin fight, I've gotta give it to Rich on this one. He's not coming off of any significant layoffs like Griffin is, and his striking looks crisp and powerful as of late. Forest is a tough bastard, but I think we're gonna see a knockout here.

Lastly, I hope Jon Jones decimates Bader, and I'm pretty sure he will. Bader should have lost that last fight, in my opinion, and I've never been impressed with him despite his loss-free record. To me, Jon Jones is the real deal, and Bader's the one that's about to get derailed.

I thought I read that the winner of this fight gets the next shot, but I could be confusing message board posts for news.

Forrest does have a fairly legitimate claim at a title shot if Shogun beats Rashad. Yeh Shogun was injured when they fought but Forrest did finish the guy who is currently champ.

I don't agree with this at all. Vera was not knocked unconsious. He could've tapped out with his other hand. No way Bones knew the extent of the damage he did with that elbow. Now if Vera was knocked out and Bones kept pounding away that'll be a different story but it's the refs job to cut him off anyways.

Jones always seems humble and respectful in post-fight interviews also so I don't get where the hate is coming from.

lhw is nice in terms of having a lot of guys set up for title shots. it is the anti-strikeforce

rampage-silva, bones-bader, and even ace-forrest all have general title implications. you know dana is PRAYING for any possible way to set up rampage-forrest.

thing about bones is he will not fight rashad so it's nice to have that flexibility (also yet another reason to cheer against rashad)
