And I thought they wouldn't top the staredown at the press conference.

Anderson is passive-aggressive as fuck... making a point to wear crooked hats and pink sweaters when going to pressers and such with Chael and now this. Couldn't hear a fucking word Vitor said because even though he told us to shut up people were still yelling shit. Guess I'll go to UFC.com and hear what he said.

I am so fucking hyped for this. BEST UFC CARD EVER (on paper). Tomorrow we'll see if it's the best in reality.

I'm a fair weather UFC fan..

IS Griffin still liked? Seems all he does is get his ass kicked about the ring.
Well, he's faced Rampage[W], Shogun[W], Anderson[L], Tito[W], Evans[L] in his last 5 fights.

Top competition really. Had an embarrassing defeat against Anderson, other than that...

Isn't Tito Ortiz washed up though? Shogun is an impressive win I guess, but Silva and Evans beat him to shit, and I never thought Rampage was that good in the UFC

Ya, and Shogun was coming off a long break after an injury, iirc. I really like Forrest and look forward to him becoming a regular commentator.

You are a self proclaimed fairweather fan(however that works in UFC, I dunno I guess only tune into the HW title PPV's?) Forrest has almost always been a fan favorite and is def in a valley in his career body of work. All the more pressure to preform, especially against Franklin(who I respect) but the dude is older than most.... Gotten hit by some of the best too....

I know he has. My question is if that's still the case.

As for me, I watch the odd PPV depending on the card.

Apologies. I don't know outside of the people I talk UFC with. But Forrest was the S1 TUF winner and that holds a place for a lot of fans given the popularity of the organization and the show itself right now....

If you just mean do people still like him, then ya, everyone I know thinks Forrest comes off as a cool guy and is really funny. Do people expect him to win lately? Not really. I think Franklin is a great fight for him though.

What the hell is with Anderson 'Phantom of the Opera' Silva. Man, that it hilarious.

Can't wait for this.

Saying someone wears a mask in Brazil can be seen as a pretty personal insult and I guess Anderson took it personally.

Is there a vid of this on youtube yet?

The whole weigh video in is on UFC.com

What was with the boos when Anderson was being interviewed? Is he that unpopular now, or did the audience not care for the mask? I'm hoping the boos were for Ed Soares, and not Anderson. Also, the weigh-ins can be seen on Facebook too, same place as where the Kid fight will be shown on the UFC fanpage.

Hard to be shook by a clown. haha

I am sorry but wearing a mask to a stare down does not make much sense to me.

Because Vitor said yesterday, that Anderson wears "mask" to hide his insecurities. Anderson's hilarious.

idk i hope vitor KOs anderson. would be awesome and would help shake up a stagnant division.

so my picks for the card:

vitor
ace
bones
ellenberger
torres
cerrone
mendes
kid

It's really kind of amazing how easily butthurt Anderson is. I know he's playing this off like it's a joke but this is the same guy who went berserk when Maia said he'd sub him.

Alright post Weigh-In picks:

Anderson Silva vs. Vitor Belfor
- This is Anderson's fight to lose, everything is against Belfort here. Ring rust, surgical recovery, crazy weight cut, and all the problems he always brings into the cage with him. He could pull off the upset knockout, but barring that he's going to get worked here.

Forrest Griffin vs. Rich Franklin
- Rich is a much better striker then Griffin and he hits harder to boot. On the feet he has a distinct advantage. On the mat technique wise it's a wash but Griffin could utilize his size to bully Franklin against the cage and on the floor. All said and done though I think Franklin will outpoint him on the feet and win a decision.

Jon Jones vs. Ryan Bader
- Jones has all the tools to win this, especially his insane reach. I mean his arms are longer then Stephan Struves for fuck sakes. Jones by TKO most likely.

Jake Ellenberger vs. Carlos Eduardo Rocha
- Smothering wrestling to a decision for Ellenberger.

Miguel Torres vs. Antonio Banuelos
- There is no reason for Miguel to lose this fight, he's better at every single aspect of the game.

Donald Cerrone vs. Paul Kelly
- Cowboy by whatever the hell he wants.

Chad Mendes vs. Michihiro Omigawa
- Takedown. Stall. Punch. Stall. Punch. Stall. Standup. Takedown. Punch. Stall. Decision.

Norifumi Yamamoto vs. Demetrious Johnson
- What a terrible fight for Kid. He's going to have all these people on facebook watching him get utterly controlled on the ground. One sided asswhipping for Johnson.

Paul Taylor vs. Gabe Ruediger
- Taylor and Kelly on the same card and it's not in Britain? WTF is this shit. Anyways, Taylor by cake distraction.

Kyle Kingsbury vs. Ricardo Romero
- I've heard of Kingsbury so I pick him. I guess.

Mike Pierce vs. Kenny Robertson
- Dominate wrestler versus middling submission guy = boring ass decision.

the main event is funny, vitor hasn't fought in like a year and a half, and anderson silva hasn't had a good performance in over a year and a half when he eviscerated forrest griffin, and prior to the griffin fight he turned in 2 spectacular stink bomb performances as well.

vitor definitely has the fire power to end the fight in the first round, the interesting thing will be how he is mentally if he doesn't win in the first round and the further the fight goes along if he wilts under pressure. he has a pretty good chin so i think the fight could be great. anderson certainly won't be able to pull his shenanigans like he did against cote, leites, or maia in this fight.

man I hope Vitor kicks Anderson's ass. Getting tired of his antics. Especially after watching the countdown and have he and Soares act like getting his ass beat for 4 rounds and luckying into a sub against Chael was all according to plan.

They are both counter punchers, this could easily be a staring contest.

This is what I am worried will happen. I think Vitors best chance will be to try and finish Anderson early. Anderson usually spends a little while feeling out his range so if Vitor can catch him then he has a good chance of ending it. If that is his gameplan I hope he won't break mentally for the rest of the fight if it doesn't work.

he is pretty much a heel since the maia fight 90% of people don't even know who soares is

another interesting tidbit is that silva is almost 37 years old, for a guy that relies on his speed, striking, and elusiveness, he is at that age where his physical skills should start diminishing.

not everyone is randy couture, who can rely on wrestling, cage n pray, and dirty boxing.

Yea absolutely. That's why if they plan on doing this Silva vs. GSP superfight they need to get on it ASAP.

Honestly I'd rather see Silva fight Okami though.

honestly okami is a just worse version of sonnen, i'd rather see gsp/silva then the okami fight. if okami wasn't asian, i doubt he would have the same support on the internet, he'd be just another boring fighter the fans hate.

Okami is a better striker then Sonnen and actually has submission defense. He could do to Anderson what Sonnen did without the whole getting tapped like a retard part.

i dont know about that, okami's striking isn't all that. if okami wasn't that boring he'd have a title shot by now. with a title shot on the line we got one of the most lukewarm performances ever in that marquardt fight. what we do know is that sonnen faired pretty well versus anderson on the feet and was actually winning the exchanges, sonnen also wrestlefucked okami and marquardt.

i don't think okami has anything to offer him. gsp would have a better chance of implementing his LNP over anderson.

The Maia thing was just a cop out, but I can tell you what Vitor said can be seen as offensive.

Apparently some of the things Anderson said was "You're fucked! You're fucked! I'm gonna beat the shit out of you tomorrow." Reading his lips, it sure looks like that's what he said.

bububu Silva doesn't talk trash! He's all class before fights! Don't disrespect him!

Cute. But it's not like Vitor didn't start this as I previously mentioned.

Anyways, this pic made me laugh:

I thought they were gonna kiss. So hot.

All guys talk before. No one says "I can't wait to lose on Saturday!"

I'm talking about Rogan lol

EDIT: Not all guys talk trash before the fight, there's a difference between talking trash and saying I'm gonna win on Saturday. I honestly have never heard Shogun trash talk and prior to Fedor saying Werdum is ducking him, I had never heard him bad mouth anyone either.
