Punk should just accept he is far too old to be trying to go after the gold in MMA. Some of these kids were training, fighting, and had established backgrounds well into their teens. They were born for this stuff.

Punk is just a misanthropic individual who happened to burn every bridge imaginable, walked around with a helium filled ego, and somehow stupidly believed he could actually fight against people who were training to do this their entire lives. The human body is adapatable, and we are capable of great things, but not when you pick up the craft at middle age and expect to be the world's greatest.

Plenty of guys would. There are guys that would murder someone to get a shot at the UFC. He's basically a rich old dude who got to go to an MMA fantasy camp for 2 years, except at the end instead of getting a signed jersey from Michael Jordan,he got the shit kicked out of him (and got paid a pretty penny). I'm not seeing what he did that is so admirable.

Anybody who didn't see this coming was delusional. I totally get why the UFC did it, but making this seem like an even matchup was a disservice to how much work goes into a guy even being just 2-0 like Mickey Gall is. As inexperienced as he is, he's still put in 1000X the work over his life CM Punk has. The results were an ass kicking.

Mickey has 7+ years of training, started as a teenager. he might not be ufc talent but he's no joke. even a very gifted athlete would have almost zero chance and punk is just a regular dude. 2 years is nothing, especially at that age.
