Can you imagine, UK dystopian? But the real surprise is that UK banned it, I'm shocked!
According to the reason it's because the ad lacked the usual disclaimer risk text that's required for any gambling and investment promos. Surely they can just resubmit the ad with the text added to the bottom but that wouldn't generate clicks then.
You suspect there is an ulterior motive? Why wasn't the ad submitted with the required regulations the first time? I've seen dumber shit get passed as long as it has the brick of text at the bottom about how nothing is guaranteed and how gambling and investments are always a risk and that you should only do so with money you're willing to lose.Wanna bet it'd get banned for a different reason?
Of course. Remember when clown Keir was asked if free speech was still in the UK while he was stood next to trump? He then pathetically bragged about how the UK is proud of it's free speech.

In this case though it's a clear valid rule that's been in place for years at the ASA. It's clearly stated it was rejected for not putting the disclaimer on it, why didn't they just resubmit with the disclaimer? We've repeatedly witnessed UK banning speech using either the dumbest excuses possible or some fucked up dystopian laws they made up the last 10 years and you're surprised people think there's an ulterior motive or that they'd ban it again?

Instead they're using it as an excuse to peg themselves as the victim of censorship and post about it online.
I get the current views but Coinbase are manipulating this for outrage to get even more attention to it. Pretty smart but scummy in a way.
UK broadcaster Clearcast, which pre-approves TV adverts for compliance, refused to air the campaign, citing violations of the Broadcast Committee of Advertising Practice (BCAP) code. They argued the ad made unsubstantiated political and economic claims and failed to include required risk warnings for crypto investments.
You literally just highlighted the part they could easily appeal on but not the part about the required risk warnings which is the main reasonMy dude, you're just wrong:

Coinbase “Everything Is Fine” UK Ad Ban: Critics Call Out Censorship - Greatreporter
A provocative Coinbase advert titled “Everything Is Fine”, meant to air on UK television, has been banned by British broadcast authorities for allegedly breaching advertising rules. But the move has sparked a wider backlash, with critics claiming the ban represents an alarming infringement on...greatreporter.com
They'd ban it anyway for the other reason they made up, UK is a totalitarian hellhole

You highlighted a part which they "argued" and then side stepped the actual requirements which is required by the ASA. You're being played, see you in a week or so when Coinbase is boasting about coming to an "agreement" which is just them following the rules which other crypto and trading platforms already do in their ads.OK, you're just being intellectually dishonest now, I'm done here

If it's somehow still banned even after they submit with the disclaimer then yeah I'll join you with pointing out the bullshit one but as far as I'm seeing right now, it's been rejected because it did not have the required disclaimer that gambling and trading adverts need in the UK.I actually predicted like a goddamn prophet that UK would find a different reason to ban the ad because it's a totalitarian hellhole before I even read the excuses they gave and, lo and behold, I was right, there was already a backup excuse to ban the ad.
You also didn't read the reasons they gave but instead of admitting that yeah, either way the ad would be banned, you're pretending that this is still a nothingburger because of some imaginary appeal they could win, a scenario you made up on the fly to keep defending the dystopia. Anyway, I thought I should clarify what I meant by intellectually dishonest but I'll still end it there. See ya in week!
Oh, the ironing.
