I see empty phrases like this echoed time and again, but do you have even an inkling of how the European Union conducts its business? If you go over the numbers and its budget you would find that it's more efficient than most national governments in the EU.

Nope couldn't disagree more. Like I said I voted remain and still wish us too - however in this particular case (the debt) it is a mess that the EU caused....that's my point. The leave campaign winning did not cause the debt (EU mismanagement has) - so not sure how you can write I'm diverting blame...

There's no doubt the EU is a bloated mess nowadays - which is a big reason why so many voted leave (as well as the immigration issues).

You are blaming the EU for the fact that the UK has made economic commitments to the EU, that the UK has not yet fulfilled. These are commitments that the UK would have had to agree to, in the first place. Do you not realize how absurd this criticism is?

The best thing is how Trump and the rightwing keep referencing Brexit as an example of a positive change that we can learn lessons from the US and emulate, when in reality it's a fucking disaster that probably will never even happen.

Not to diminish the figure but you do realise the £130m (upper estimate) annual expense is covered by a single week of the UKs net contribution. It is a piddling amount of money to get worked up over.
