Happy birthday Uncharted 2.

A game released as Sony entered the peak of their powers, the catalyst for the PS3 dominating the Xbox 360 during the second half of the generation.

Class personified. Just check out the XMB backdrop to see the level of care from ND:

Please feel free to pay homage to this fantastic game.

That E3 showing was GOATED. Microsoft having nothing but ODLC was the reason I traded my shit into GameStop when they had the 50% extra trade in offer and went PS3 and 4.

I wish they'd have another game with that impact because I'm so tired of the buddy playbook

Best Uncharted, best ND game since the PS3 gen.
Amazing, fun, spectacular.

Ps: U3 was good too. U4 was pretty but slow. Lost Legacy was ok (should've been a Sully lead adventure though)
TLOU 1 is great but not as U2. There's another game by ND, it had pretty graphics and great combat, but it was long asf and the storyline was so stupid that I can't even remember it's name. The Something of Ours Part 2 or so.

Amazing game. I remember buying my first ps3 in 2009 and falling in love with all these exclusives i never played before. I was predominantly an Xbox player until 2009.

I remember walking miles just to go to a redbox and rent uncharted 4.

It felt like i was playing great action adventure movie.

Love all the uncharted games.

Still as amazing as ever, replayed this month right after Drake's Fortune in the Uncharted marathon sparked by Astro Bot.

Extremely fun shooter, magical story, atmosphere, music, ambience, art direction, pacing. A masterpiece still, the "cinematic" game done right.

One of the first games I'm going to play on PS6. I even own it, Sony gifted the remaster several years ago, I created PS account and got it! 😍

After all these years this is still the definitive blockbuster gaming experience. Insane production value, amazing graphics, voice acting, music. Awesome set pieces. Setting itself was incredible.

Took a nosedive at the end with the beasts and that absolutely dreadful bossfight but everything else is an amazing achievement.

Insane opening. Still gives me goosebumps.

Love the Uncharted series, Uncharted 2 was my favourite. I remember getting it back in 2009, was blown away by the graphics and the gameplay was tight and fun as well, I liked it so much I ended up platinuming it, I hope they reboot the series.

In the world of video games, uncharted 2 is one of the greatest sequels of all time. The Empire Strikes Back of video games. Masterpiece.

Yes. On an unrelated note and I just wanted to mention this, love that we would see game related image with background music for games in the PS3 UI which we also get with the PS5. I hated that they got rid of it on the PS4.

Uncharted 2 was amazing when it came out. Groundbreaking in its presentation with all the spectacular set pieces, that was playable instead of just watching a cut scene. The jump in quality it made from the original was nothing I'd seen in gaming before. It felt like the kind of jump that Terminator 2 made from the first movie. Everything was better and bigger, in a more bombastic way. Shit was unreal. Gonna plough through the trilogy some day soon. Haven't really played these games since they came out.

Still in ND's top 3 games.

Wish we could get an AAA from Sony of this scope and quality.
Not sure if we'd ever reach that high without Bruce Straley. My favorite ND games (UC2, UC4 and TLOU) are directed or in part by him.

Looking forward to their next project though.

Not only the best uncharted game, but also the best ND game period (followed close by The last of us 1). Man the time flies

I appreciated Uncharted 3 a lot more when I replayed it as part of the trilogy release. The cruise liner level was nuts. The whole game was almost one crazy set piece after another. Uncharted 2 was the best all-rounder for me though, followed closely by UC4.

Best game in the series by a wide margin, and best Naughty Dog game by far. I remember this game being the moment the tide turned for the PS3. Heck of a fun time.

While their production values continued to improve, Naughty Dog never managed to get back to this level. I hope we see them do something like this at least once more.

Still my favorite ND game.
I think they really nailed the pacing in this one, there is a good balance between cutscenes, walking and talking narrative sequences, combat and big setpiece moments that they never quite replicated again IMO

Also it still looks great IMO.
I can't put my finger on exactly what it is, but there is something about the lighting and the way objects look in this game that has aged really well IMO:

Like the textures aren't great and many of the models are clearly low poly but when it all comes together the overall image still holds up.
It's that mix of realism that is stylized just enough that it still looks good (specially at a high resolution and 60fps) despite the tech itself obviously being dated
And the animation are still solid too.

Loved the multiplayer. It's a bummer that's no way to play it again. Was hoping the'd revive it on PS4 UC Collection, but no...lazy motherf*ckers.

Happy birthday Uncharted 2 🎂

It was the game that blew me away on PS3, especially the spectacular train scene and for the first time made me proud to be a PS3 owner (I no longer have one sadly, would love to get again). Had wonderful memories playing it while serving in the Navy and stationed in VA years ago and showing it off to my shipmates and them being equally impressed by its graphics.
