But considering its now a WW release I feel better, us UK peasants were going to have to wait an extra 3 days while everyone else got to play it initially.

It's crazy, it feels like forever since TLOU but it's only been a little over 2.5 years and they even put out the remastered version in there too

And Uncharted 1/2/3/TLOU in a span of 6 years (2007/2009/2011/2013) is insanely impressive

Naughty Dog just shot themselves in the foot.

I don't know how much the rest of you know about American culture (I'm an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. It's not like it is everywhere else where you can become successful by delaying a game. If you delay a game over in Nepal, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is turning on the beta early.

What this means is the American public, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase UC4 for the Playstation 4 nor will they purchase any of Naughty Dog's games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but ND has alienated an entire market with this move.

Naughty Dog, publicly apologize and undelay UC4 for PS4 or you can kiss your business goodbye.

I thought with the march release announcement, that there would be another delay to put it around E3 just for TLOU vibe. Instead we get a 5 week and 2 week push back, and I would not surprised after the open MP Beta we are getting a news like they found a network issue and need a few more weeks to realize a robust mp experience for the bigger than thought MP audience.

Plus, it's not an extra time for development, it's for manufacturing (cause people are confused as to why the game is delayed). It seems the game has high demand and Sony (yup, it's more a Sony decision rather than ND) want Uncharted 4 to be available to all at the same time.

Yeah, I think this might be moreso Sony wanting to space Ratchet and Uncharted apart. Sure, Uncharted may be bigger (except in Japan IIRC), but Ratchet has to sell too, has a major motion picture the same month, and is $20 US cheaper. It's not like SIE can necessarily delay the movie, there's more than one division and even company involved, obviously.

This is probably a release spacing issue more than anything and it also gives Naughty Dog more time.
