Uncharted 4 Multiplayer Beta stream today

How much can you customize your avatar? face, skin color, gender, hairstyle?
Can you customize the skins on the guns and things like clothing and dye?



Will the game have any form of spectator mode or clan support?

Was that "fragment" that Robert Cogburn said a reference to that one Schäfer line ("... have possessed only a fragment of the ...") from Uncharted 2????? If so, waht could that mean?????

But does it mean this game will be more like Uncharted 2 than 3????

Core mechanics look like straight fire. Can't wait to play this with my brehs ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

The mechanics and animations look so good they offset all my dislike of the buddies/mysticals/items/etc. Every time someone jumps over a low piece of cover or through a window I drool a little. So fluid.
 
Wow, finally watched the stream. This looks fantastic. I was a bit skeptical of some of the elements, particularly sidekicks, but they seem to be implemented more intelligently than I expected. The animation fluidity and speed combined with the huge improvement in shooting really makes this look fun. Those character models are fantastic too.
 
i'm pretty excited for the MP. character models look great, no more sprinting, guns sound more powerful, and i think the mystic stuff or whatever looks cool, but i guess i'll have to wait until i play to see if it works in practice

a little disappointed the beta won't have any co-op though. love me some co-op arena and adventure
 
This is the first game with taunts/emotes that doesn't look like the characters are marionettes when you look at them on the selection screen.
 
A lot of stuff in here looks great, like the shooting, melee, character models, animations and art style. But I HATE HATE HATE the mysticals and sidekicks. It makes me mad even seeing it.
 
It's pretty disappointing visually for something made by Naughty Dog, nothing really impressive here, I'm not digging the mystical + sidekick thing, it's too bad because I played TloU multiplayer for hours but this one is a big no no for me atm, it's really disappointing and I'm not even talking about micro-transaction.

I'll play it this week-end to see how everything feel with the controller in the hand, we'll see how it goes.

It's 60fps...sacrifices were made. I think it looks great though.
 
That looked absolutely amazing. I don't typically play multiplayer shooters but this gameplay looks super slick and fun. Glad they got creative with the pown downerser ups and stuff too, it fits well with the universe. Should make things more interesting than just running around shooting.

Same for me. I hate MP where all you can do is run and shoot. Powers mix it up.
 
Getting a Halo 3 MP feeling of all things. I guess it's the plethora of options, colorful visuals and really agile gameplay. Animations are also god-tier.
Can't wait to see it on my TV in direct-feed and 60fps this friday.

And It looks like the player can influence their direction while rolling now? So fucking smooth.
 
Just got done watching the stream. Looks fantastic!

Everything looks so smooth and the addition of mysticals adds some nice dynamism to matches. The only disappointment is no Eddy Raja for the beta haha.

Just add a classic mode (Plunder!) in the final game and I'll be happy :)
 
I don't even care about the mystical, radar lr NPCs bs: reviving needs to go out. It is by far the thing that makes me think "this is not Uncharted" the most. It just slows the pace, negates what this multiplayer is about and feels totally out of place.

Leave that thing for the coop and The Last of Us. They are two completely different multiplayer games and what fits in one doesn't in the other. Why is that so hard to understand? Why the need to make them both the same? They were absolutely fine complementing each other. In fact, that's what you'd expect from two multiplayers made by the same team, that you'd be able to play both at the same time because how different they are, I could always play Uncharted 3 right Tlou and not feel burned out because despite both being tps made by the same studio, the multiplayer mechanics and fundamental gameplay was different enough to be their own thing.

I swear this Cogburn needs to stop being the decision maker in multiplayer, he clearly doesn't have a logical/good vision.
 
So.. no more grenades throwbacks, loadouts without grenades, cooldown before you can throw another one, no sprint... How do you guys feel about that?

No more grenade throwbacks is definitely good for SP, as it should help push you out of cover and prevent stop and pop gameplay. Not played enough UC3 MP to say how it impacts the MP.

Cooldown on grenades I think is good and should prevent things like grenade spam, assuming the cooldown time is fairly lengthy.

No sprint, I have no problem with as the default running speed is fairly fast anyway.
 
Lol I didn't realize until now that they solved the "gun stuck on the back" of the older titles by putting a strap on every rifle.

I thought it was ridiculous in UC3MP, nades and throwback everywhere.

Cooldown is more than a minute i think. Maybe you can reduce it with perks, dunno.
 
I really like the new in-game store, especially the option to upgrade your gear. Hope there will be more than one upgrade to choose from though e.g. weapon, armour and mystic level.

No code. Two theories.

-It's in the main menu of the game
-It's in the OS menu of the game (in the overview/recent activity thing)
 
You know what? I would totally be fine with egregious microtransactions if all maps were free.

Maybe egregious is a strong word. Like, all cosmetic shit could be bought. All of it. Maybe even make a good portion of them pay only.

Just make the maps free. Thats all I want. You start putting out map packs, then you split the community.

No, DLC weapons are worse than vanilla ones.
 
Hopefully particle effects remain that way until release. I saw some of the footage, but never actually noticed if there's still smoke / particles coming out of covers when bullets hit. Loved how great that looked in the PSX demo.

All good in my opinion.Simplify and purify the gameplay loop. This is the approach that made Uncharted 2's multiplayer great.

Watching off-screen potato cam it looks like the actual moment-to-moment gameplay is far more streamlined too, with none of that booster/kickback bullshit that was all over UC3.
 
i'm really not sure how to feel about the overall aesthetic and use of powers and npc drop ins lending itself to an overly cartoony / moba feel

that being said i have a feeling that, if nothing else, it'll be tons of fun for a little bit at least

also, the animations (especially the running animations in those gifs posted) are damn amazing
 
I love Naughty Dog MP and this looks to be their best cumulative work I've seen yet. Folks may hate the aspect of mysticals and side kicks but they do seem to have a purposeful implementation where they are correcting problems they've seen in the past or noticed afterwards during play testing.

The stone (iirc) which breaks up crowds preventing turtling is a huge thing for me. MP for me doesn't have to be realistic, so long as it's fun, has variety, and is balanced with not many bugs.
 
One of my best friends bought the collection since he had a 360 last gen. Looks like I'll be going at his house a lot until the beta is over. ( &#865;° &#860;&#662; &#865;°)

Still salty that the only way to get it is to buy the Collection :/
 
That MP looked genuinely fun. Most importantly, to me, it felt fluid as hell.

I love that they've taken it into a less real realm with those power ups and special abilities.

The rope and parkour stuff look super fun and I dig the perk point system.
