Oh nice I was thinking noon tomorrow! 12am is much better...though since I'm on the east coast I won't see scores till the morning.

God damn someone just revealed a major spoiler about the game on a twitch stream I was watching! Ah well...

Still expecting a 93+ metacritic score overall.
This is why I've been avoiding Twitch like the plague for a week now. Civil War and Uncharted 4 spoilers are something I don't want right now, and it's worse because some of my friends here in Peru have already played the game or are playing through it right now.

How long till reviews drop? An hour?
Edit: Oh, PST lol, I'll just read the review thread tomorrow then.

I really do hope it reviews well. It's kind of carrying the beacon for cinematic story driven AAA third person linear shooters right now. After the critical performance of games like Quantum Break and The Order 1886, I'm hoping Uncharted 4 cements that actually the genre is still very much able to get to those previous critical heights, so long as the quality is there. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Well, Tomb Raider did quite well but you're somehow right, this is the main game right now with real possibilities of leading awards at the end of the year. It depends on how it turns out.

It's Naughty Dog. "Well" is a given. Consider how long they've been crafting it, what it means to the studio, and everything we've seen to date.

Review scores don't work like they used to. we've got less granular rating system and reviewers more willing to use the spectrum available to them. Whatever the metacritc turns out to be, I'm confident that this game will be one of the most critically and commercially successful games of the year.

Really annoying how they didn't decide to release this on 5/6. It's still a delay, and they normally have the big games release on a Friday so people can enjoy it on the weekend -- I remember them doing this with TLOU.

The reviews lift on 5/5, and I'm sure most stores have their copies. Why did they go for the 10th and not the 6th? I really don't get it... ugh, would love to be playing it this weekend.

I completely forgot about RotTR, which is currently sitting at 86. I certainly really enjoyed the game, though did think the story/characters, coupled with the sludgy aiming and input lag let it down somewhat. An issue I never experienced with the Definitive Edition or previous release on the 360. Weirdly no reviewers seemed to pick up on it.

Then again, RotTR also follows a sort of wide linear design ideology. It certainly has copious amounts of linear design (especially towards the beginning of the game), but at the same time it has an almost open ended design in other parts, what with the different hub areas etc, so I'm not sure it's fully comparable. That said, from what I've read or seen, ND seems to also be going a semi wide linear route with Uncharted 4, so maybe a similar thing will apply.

I'm expecting a single negative review will send half of the posters in the review thread spiralling into a tirade about how this reviewer is biased/looking for hits/poorly written/etc.

Like clockwork. Every time, without fail.

Fortunately I think these posts are already the new vogue :p

EDIT: See, its starting already!

If that review is from Polygon it will be The Last of Us all over again.

There's no way some of the huge marketing budget wasn't for sucking up to or even paying off reviewers for this game. It's getting at least a 95.

Go for it. Everyone except you is getting paid, so it's time to make a statement. Rip the game a new diskhole in your review for a big fuck you to Sony.

Wtf? What are you talking about? Tales from your ass? Its pretty serious what you are implying.

I can't see it scoring below a 92, but with the era of inflated review scores behind us I also can't imagine it reaches Uncharted 2's 96. I'll split the difference and go with 94.

Below 90 is hard to see for me. Can't remember if I said 93 or 94, but yeah one of those.

It should have been 12am est. Think of us east coasters! Can't stay up till 3am :(

I may stay up till 3am :/
