Does anyone know what time the media called the 2008 election for Obama? Nevermind, found it was 11PM

Yeah. The most bizarre thing was that I was watching the Stewart/Colbert special when it happened.

For me, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert were the news anchors who broke the news of Obama's victory.

Four years later, I still can't believe that...

Quick question: why is it that states vote for their governor differently to the president? So Romney was governor of Massachusetts previously yet it has voted for Democrats in the presidential election for ages?

A lot of people like their legislations to be evened out with a moderate from the other party, so moderates (like Mitt was at one point) can generally do well in gubernatorial races.

watching the Florida results come in is exciting. Even though I don't like how they're turning more red. but it's still such a close race there.

Having the extended Lincoln trailer during the coverage is genius marketing (even though its not out here until January).

NC super close
FL super close

VA very red right now ---> are predominantly red counties reporting as of now perhaps?

Dunno, but on ABC they're talking about how Obama is not doing nearly as well in Northern VA as they had expected.

Still, if Florida doesn't go for Romney, he has ZERO chance, and if he doesn't win Ohio he has almost-zero chance.

Has california ever gone red?

Guys, just watch Daily Show / Colbert Report tonight. They will be live, it will coincide with when we'll know who wins, and it'll be far more entertaining than cable news.

Just got back from voting here. LOTS of people rolling in at the last minute in rural MN it seems. Felt good to vote though.

Then I had to fill up the tanks on my truck. 197 to fill it up. That felt bad.

Time to have a few drinks and enjoy the election.
