Well then the Democrats need to aggressively show that it is mostly white people that benefit from these programs. They may need to emphasize minorities less and focus more on what white voters want. Because Trump did almost literally nothing else but that and he's pretty close to winning.

This election is a bit of an outlier because of how disliked Hillary is. I don't know what message the democrats take from this is they lose (or win) to help in 2020....that is if we survive the violent revolution Trump's presidency brings about.

This is my first election watching live. At what percentage reported is a state "called"? I don't understand.

These are all projections based on actual data, exit polling data, historical data, statistics, and other data. The true results won't be tabulated and completed until later, but the networks and the AP have been doing this long enough to be good at calling a state for one party or another. That's why Texas, Arkansas, and Nebraska were called so early for instance.

Florida may not be called for a while even though there are more votes in because Florida is always a question mark.
