I'm physically ill at the fact that there's going to be a president Trump, Republican senate, and a new Republican Supreme Court Judge. That means Trump's desire to overturn marriage equality might be a reality. That is beyond disturbing to me.

but GAF told me there was no way Trump could win and it was going to be a landslide victory for Hilldawg!

Hmph, anyway. This is fucking deplorable. Just like the masses of people voting for that man.

HOW DID 33% OF THE HISPANICS IN FLORIDA VOTE FOR TRUMP
HOW
HOW
FUCKING HOW

They're hardcore right-wingers.

You know, I feel like this is a good time for a confession.

I've always had a hard time differentiating "People" from "Cockroaches" - A Trump lead is only blurring that line even further for me right now.

Individuals have worth - "People" are superfluous.

At least my county was Blue. But that's not surprising considering I live in a place where individuals who provide worth to humanity through tangible socioeconomic and scientific contributions live.

So, lets be honest: How many electoral voters are going to turn down Trump?

Not so much Trump's victory as Hillary's failure.

The meltdowns, currently ongoing, rage at those who dared vote for anyone not Clinton, but a stronger Dem candidate would have won by a landslide. Moderate republicans were there for the taking and she messed up.
People just repeating lies about you is not a mistake.

She is a bad candidate, but I dunno what she coulda done differently

95% Trump on NYTimes. "Very likely" :|

This reminds me of Iranian presidential election 2009. We thought Mousavi will win easily, but Ahmadinejad won and... I don't want to recall those days again...

Welp, fuck it. No point worrying anymore. You're screwed, USA. Glad I live in Canada. After all the shit Trump has said, can't believe he's going to win. America truly is a cesspool of horrible people.

I'm going to go on a long rant here and I'm sure in this fast moving thread no one will read it, but it's going to be at least a little cathartic. I'm also going to put this forum on blast a bit.

You know, I'm just going to take a moment to say that some of us tried to warn so many of you. The whole "social justice warrior" online movement or whatever you want to call it that this forum in particular has come to be dominated by. Shame and spite do not do anything to help one's cause.

Unrepentantly calling all white people racists and bigots and sexists and misogynists is what brought this on. I've joked on here about voting for and supporting Trump, but god knows I never actually did. But I've always been able to at least sympathize with those "deplorables" for the blatant hypocrisy on the left when it comes to all of those social issues that dominate social media these days.

too many people on the left, and on GAF especially, remind me of the conservatives in the years following 9/11 under Bush. Everything was viewed through a polarizing, black and white filter. You are either with us or with the terrorists. You are either a ____ist or you're not.

You can't demonize and shame people and expect they'll agree with you. They'll only dig their heels in further, especially if they feel attacked.

This is some real truth here, folks:
All the people who are very likely or even (ugh) probably going to put Donald fucking Trump in the White House tonight are not voting because they hate women or blacks or mexicans or whoever else. I'm also not saying that the hatred isn't a factor, because it's been shown repeatedly that at least on some level it's an animating force for all of this... but people are complex animals but you've turned them into cartoon villains and stereotypes without every trying to understand them or why they actually feel the way they do.

Polarization is bad. The right has been polarized for a long time, but now the left is too, and it's biting them back hard tonight. If Trump wins and has the House and Senate behind him, this is literally the end of America as we know it and the beginning of a new BRIC nation world alignment. That's really fucking bad.

No. Fuck this. I'm sorry I'm not giving anybody sympathy. Fuck these people. Fuck them and their ignorant ass backwards fucking stupidity.

I agree that the "basket of deplorables" rhetoric is counter-productive, but I'm not sure if it's THE reason that Hilary is losing.
No, it's just one more tick in a ledger of reasons why people don't like her. Whether or not those reasons or fair or simply slurs, they exist, and this is the bed the Democrats made when they nominated her.

And now they get to lie in it.
