I don't think you've thought this through...

Breh, I have.

They should turn this into a game, I adore the art direction, atmosphere and setting.

Maybe they're just really good at creating tech demos and engines, and not so much games? There's a lot to consider when making a game. Especially since we're only getting a small taste of what would need to be a fully fledged out story with an actual ending. Then there are other questions...

What genre would the game be? RPG? Action adventure? First person or third person? Open world or linear?

Will it have combat? What kind of combat system?

Should the player level up?

What sort of enemies should there be, if any?

Imagine seeing this concept art and thinking "Wow, someone should make a game in that world."

And then that game becomes Remember Me :P

A... decent game with a great aesthetic.

That's one developer. That's like taking one kid out a class and seeing if he can do Calculus and if he can't that means the rest of the kids can't.

Meh. I didn't like it at all. I felt it was the wrong choice for the setting. The combat was just... blah.

The visuals and art direction were amazing though.

Anyways, it's just an example. To create a short, directed video based on an interesting concept is waaaay different than making an actual game and involves a lot less risk.

Just like Destiny with a different story line obviously...I'm undecided on the leveling up part, but it could certainly work. So, my proposed time line is thus: Mystery/Discovery/Reaction/Conclusion, then, Game X Part 2, 3, 4. If the world and concepts are big enough, a multi-part episodic type series would be perfectly acceptable.

You are right, it's an impossible task. /s

I'm sure, they wouldn't have much trouble to find a partner to help flesh this out into a nice game.

Strawman. When doing a game all those questions are valid, a tech demo should have a pitch too, this one doesn't, also Unity is too busy with their engine to make games.

And some of y'all were saying Death Stranding couldn't be real time
Death Stranding teaser still had much better lighting and many hallmarks of pre rendered CG.

Like, it looked like it was using Ray tracing, particularly noticeable on the translucent crabs. It also had perfectly accurate AO. The lighting was too perfect to be real time.
