Upcoming games you are looking forward to that not many people know about

Looking to see unknown or unheard-of games coming out in the future that you are personally excited for, however they are not receiving a substantial amount of buzz nor are they being covered much (if at all) by news outlets:

I'll begin.

I just got Ravenswatch, a top down diablo like , coop roguelike. It's cross platform.

You play as one of the fairytale character but in a darker tone.

I played the demo for this and found it fun. Huge open world platformer with some neat mechanics.
PS1 MGS clone with randomly generated levels and missions.

I had it wishlisted for over 3 years now and I can't wait for the release.

One of the comments summed it up perfectly: "Be the American the Chinese imagine that Japanese thinks you are".

AI Limit

It's a a Soulslike in anime style, but just from the demo it's much better than Code Vein was.
It doesn't have a stamina bar, instead it has a "focus" bar of sorts that goes up or down depending on what moves and abilities you use.

Give it a try.

Why waste this artstyle on a free-to-play MMORPG when you could make a short-n-sweet epic single-player adventure?

I'm a sucker for side scrolling Souls. Very much enjoyed the demo (that was outdated and removed).

Definitely interested in someone else trying to do The Sims because fuck EA and fuck their $1400 of DLC.

If you don't know what this one is supposed to be then have you even lived?

What a great thread. Here are some indie games I'm looking forward. First is already available in Early Access, but I'm waiting for a full release

This is a cool initiative, OP. We ought to make this kind of thread a monthly or bi-monthly thing to disseminate info about lesser known upcoming games to other GAF members.

To be fair, I don't have super high hopes for Asylum as it's been in development forever and I suspect it might feel outdated. But the dev made Scratches which had excellent atmosphere and story.

I didn't play the first game Withering Rooms yet but I really like the vibe of these games.

Very cool thread March Climber March Climber .

Im very much into the AA jank and indies to supplement AAA junk food. Here's whats coming out most probably this year that people might not know about.

1) Post Trauma. Classic survival horror in the vein of Silent Hill 1-3.

2) Nivalis. Follow up to Cloudpunk but now is a slice of life cafe/club/ restaurant management sim in a Cyberpunk city.

3) The Alters. Really out there fallout shelter inspired game with clones.

4) Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream. Isometric narrative stealth game giving me Plague Tale vibes.

5) Karma: The Dark World. China copying Kojima and Bloober.

6) Old Skies. Time travel fuckery point and click adventure from the people behind Unavowed.

Then of course the small games that got a lot of coverage already: Replaced, The Midnight Walk, South of Midnight.

I've got this on my PSN wishlist, but I'm sort of on the fence right now.

How does it play compared to Hades? I imagine it's not quite as good, but is it still worth a go?

Seems like a pretty niche game. I loved American Fugitive and the concept for this game is equally (if not more) interesting.

I just hope it will release in better state, but I guess that's why they delayed the game after the demo.

My contributions:

No longer human

Neon inferno

Upcoming Compile heart shmup from the Aleste x Zanac collab.

I'm tempted to say Leslie Benzie's MIndseye, but that just got announced recently and got some exposure through State of play.

There is not as much story and characters as in Hades but in exchange, you get a game that plays online up to 4.

I like the concept of exploring one map for "4 days" before the nightmare appears. You can't explore everything, so you choose your point of interest.

In Hades there is only one playable character. There seem to be 9 in Ravenswatch. They all play very differently and level up independently.

So needless to say it's fun and difficult to put down.

Immersive sim supreme. Picking up where Looking Glass studios left off, and basically ignoring the slop released between then and now. I've played the first map in Early Access and decided not to touch it again until it's fully complete. A real GOTY contender whenever it releases.
