You know I'm really of mixed minds on this... on the one hand I'm happy to see such support for the UMD format.. that means people have been snapping up the released stuff... and look there's a nice mix of new stuff, of old stuff(Holy Grail? Tron? Labyrinth? Dark Crystal?) hell there's even two animated movies in there(Spiderman, FF – Spirits Within), but on the other hand that price point... damn you people for snapping these things up and justifying that price point... <Sigh>

EDIT:

Edited to add price points... damn Walt Disney are some milkin bastards... Interesting a look at EBgames.com adds Appleseed to the mix in July...

I did this list myself from Amazon.com's listing... basically anything new(i.e. last year or so is coming in at least $20.99, older stuff $14.99 or so... now there are variations... Tron is coming at the newer price point for example.... I'm not doing much this morning(low enthusiasm to get started on stuff I NEED to be doing today), so I'll go ahead and redo the list with prices.. give me a few minutes.

You know what would be cool? If this was a GAMES LIST, instead of a bunch of damned overpriced movies.

FU PSP. ><

Anyone know how much used UMD movies are going for at say gamestop or the like? Would feel like alot less of a bastard buying UMD movies if i could scoop them up at say $10 or so lol. I absolutely refuse to pay more than that for them on principle alone.

Heh ebgames.com and gamestop.com actually list some of those UMD's as $5 more expensive than the are listed at Amazon.com.

$13.99 - Terminator 2 (Lions Gate Home Entertainment)

Oh that is sooo mine. Considering I'm in the UK (and so am used to being taken from behind regulary on pricing issues) and this works to about £7-8 and I paid £20 for my T2 DVD a few years back, I dont consider the price too bad for the quality of a UMD movie (providing of course it does end up being a quality transfer). Probably get Air Force One and Predator when they end up cheaper.
