All you can do is keep supporting Vita releases. I'm not going to boycott anyone, but I did make sure to buy WoFF on the Vita.

Folks,
It have been quite troublesome the news about Vita cancellation and we deeply feels your pain but please understand that we weren't receiving any support from any gaming site, other than few Vita fan sites. To make the port on Vita profitable we need to get (at least) more than 50 000 unit sales and we don't think it will ever happens. If that's the case (and you can prove us wrong), you can always start a public petition (http://www.thepetitionsite.com/media-arts-culture/gaming/...). If it ever reaches 50 000 users, we'll finish porting the game on PS Vita and publish it within 2 months of completion.
Until then, please stop bombing us with insults, we were forced to temporary ban few users because the overwhelming amount of atrocities was really high, it won't help any parties. We can work together and find solutions

50k sales. I must've woken up in an alternative universe.

Not sure if anyone's that interested in them, but 10tons (developers of Neon Chrome; Xenoraid; Crimsonland) have two upcoming games. One, called Bullet Mind, they've described as part Hotline Miami part Superhot, and they've said it's "not impossible" for Vita:

They've also got Tesla vs. Lovecraft coming up, which is another twin-stick shooter that I'm very interested in. They've also said that one is possible on Vita too:

They've been very loyal Vita devs and their other games are pretty good, so I hope they can make it work.

Sorry for double post. Promise I won't do this too much, just wanted to share a new article I'd written about Vita as a device for 'legacy' games (i.e. PS1/PS2/PSP):

https://kresnik258gaming.wordpress....legacy-games-how-it-could-have-been-improved/

I think it does a great job on the whole, which is why the few issues it has stand out.

Pretty good article . switch might be more powerful and might have better options gameplay wise ( except for the dpad imo) . I'm really happy we will get a spiritual successor even if it's coming from Nintendo but I don't think I will feel the same for this console as I did for the vita. For me the dreamcast of portable gaming has only 1 possible candidate . Viva la vida, viva la Vita!

John Hardin is leaving Atlus. He's the guy that'd been championing Vita physical releases and said he had a 'hail-mary' in mind for getting Valkyria Revolution out physically for Vita.

I guess we can kiss goodbye to that then :(

I suspect Utawarerumono was his parting gift, which is nice though.

I'm really hyped for this game so I thank him for this. I cannot wait. I don't know why but I'm looking forward for this game more than I expected

Edit: I have just checked and seems the horror game dying reborn comes out this month! Man I'm really curious to see this . Looked amazing .

Have you tried the d-pad on the Switch Pro controller? It's actually really nice. I haven't tried the Switch Joycons in the Joycon Grip but playing SF2 with the pro controller was a pleasant experience.

I'm still on the fence about Utawarerumono. I think I just really need to rap my brain around its turn based grid combat. It's not something I've experienced a lot of.

Super Robot Wars V hype.

Dumb question:
Assuming this game ends up getting DLC like Gundam Generations, how would this work? I have a US Vita which can play this game and I understand that I need a PSN account in the given region (I think Singapore for the Asia release with English Subtitles). Am I able to download the DLC and then switch back to my US PSN account and play the game with the DLC?

Sorry, my first foray so wondering about all the nuances. I am also interested in jumping on Gundam Generations if/when I can find that in stock from Play-asia (nervous about Amazon retailers as some reviews have people getting the wrong version) and I know that is still getting DLC.

Thanks!

Just bought a Vita today, glad to see there is strong support for it still. Got a lot of games to catch up on, some I've played PS3 and PS4 counterparts, but there are still a lot of exclusives it seems too.

Isn't srpg part super simple ?
At least that's what I have seen mentioned several times that's it's VN first srpg second.

Man I dont even care what happens to Valkyria physical. Him leaving is a big loss to Atlus (and sega) imo.

You cannot. You can only have and use one account at a time and switching is a hassle. If you have a ps4 and want the dlc you'd be better off buying that version. Making a new account, downloading the dlc and then switching back to your original account to use said dlc does not work on the vita.

If you still have a PS3 go check out Tears to Tiara 2 as thats pretty much what you can expect from the gameplay flow. Though minus the fact there is a shop in between SRPG parts. As there are no items to buy in the 2nd and 3rd (1st never came out in the West) Utawarerumono games.

The SRPG stuff is not that complex at all. Though its more the fact that there will be long narrative parts in between is what most folks should consider when getting the game. As its about 70% Visual Novel 30% SRPG.

Didn't have the fortune to try the console ,but i do not like the shape of the dpad even when i do understand it makes sense when playing table top mode i just dont like that aspect of the console , the rest seems awesome . im not buying a 70 dollars pro controller on top of a 300 dollars console right off the bat . i do like the pro controller but the main reason why im buying a Switch is for the portable aspect of it. So its really a bummer to have that kind of dpad on portable mode.
Utawarerumono its on the top of my list of hype. Im in day one , i do not even know why yet , i guess the art is really the type of art i like the most.

it's been long since i don't see this gif , it's great , there is one for the switch and that shows the console is indeed a spiritual successor to the Vita lol
