Do you mean a port of Sen III later down the line? Because Falcom already confirmed that Sen III will be a PS4 exclusive.

Ok well i guess ill buy only Ys Origin then ... i will not even expect a retail release and wish upon a star for us to get YSVIII

I do hope it releases soon after the first part. The wait will be unbearable otherwise. (I'd kill for only a 2-3 month wait, but eh...D:).

Ehh, as long as it comes I'm happy to wait. Still pleasantly surprised that IFI are managing to get the first part out physically in Europe.

Amnesia as digital only + LE without the game wasn't a good idea. Shame there's no word about a limited edition but at least we're getting the game physically this time.

Guess what’s coming to #PSVita in mid-February! #BridgeConstructor will debut as Headup Games’ first handheld game - yeehaar!

Is there anything similar to Stardew Valley either already out/being released? (I really wish there was a portable version to play on the bus/lunch break) PS1 Harvest Moon?

More details on Bridge Constructor (since I got the press email today):

Today, Headup Games presented their first international game for PlayStation™Vita and their first handheld title as well: Bridge Constructor, a physics-based puzzle game that was already downloaded over 50 million times on several platforms. The well-known title will be released on February 15 for $9.99 as the only bridge building game for the PS Vita. During the time of the release on PS Vita, both the PS4™ and PS Vita version (Cross-Buy, by the way) will be on sale in Europe with a discount of 50% off until February 22nd. So you can still get this game for a steal!

Our world-renowned bridge-building simulation captivates its players in no time. Besides the main 40 levels varying from easy to very hard, the game also includes the ”SlopeMania" add-on featuring another 24 tricky levels that will have you using sloping lanes to overcome massive height differences.

About Bridge Constructor

Become an appraised bridge engineer and architect, create and design your own constructions and watch the cars and trucks pass over them - or see them fall and crash while your inferior creations collapse due to weight and the laws of physics.

The PlayStation®4 version features improved graphics, global high scores, intuitive joypad controls and also includes the SlopeMania add-on with additional 24 levels, a new setting and sloping roads.

Choose from a range of materials for each individual bridge, such as wood, steel, cables, or concrete pillars. Use the appropriate materials and stay within budget to build the perfect bridge. The choice of materials enables you to build each bridge in almost infinite variety – your budget is the only limit. So get on the drawing board and set your imagination and creativity free!

Features:
- 40 Levels on the island nation of Camatuga
- Slopemania: 24 "sloping" levels incl. especially tricky crazy levels
- 6 Settings: city, canyon, beach, mountains, hills, grotto
- Map with unlocked worlds and levels
- 4 different building materials: wood, steel, cables, concrete pillars
- Color coded load indicator for different building materials
- Three different load bearing levels: car, truck and tank truck
- Intuitive gamepad controls
- High score per level
- Build sloping roads in all levels

Aqua Blue vita is my favourite handheld ever. Im strongly considering another Aqua Blue instead of Neon Orange for my 3rd vita. I just wanted orange to diffeerentiate lol. But might go Blue. Looks so good.

Yeah the vita slim is an amazing piece of kit. Its better than the original in every way. The original feels thick and heavy in comparison.

I almost feel like buying a third just because it's so awesome. I think I've gone crazy. I'd get the orange just to have something different tho. :)

Also for people who haven't seen the vita slim in action, I gotta say that initial LCD vs OLED comparison taken off the show room floor isn't at all indicative of the final product. People worried that the OLED is better shouldn't. I had them side by side and couldn't tell the difference.

Even though my brain can't justify it, my heart has been telling me to get a second pink slim just in case anything ever happens to the one I have now.

Man I'm not carrying a 1000 model around and also carrying the shitty proprietary cable (that is super hard to find now) to charge a larger and heavier handheld just for a marginally better screen when im travelling.

Yea orange. Hope I get it by tomorrow. will post pics of all 3. :D

If you have a large collection of vita games, it's worth it to get another. I'm of the opinion nothing lasts forever. I've had a number of consoles die out and it's why I got a second Vita, PS2, PS3.

I've got an original OLED Vita, the pink slim, and two PSTVs. I guess my worry is that since my slim is my "take it everywhere and play it" Vita, I'm worried about something happening to it, and then the pink model being hard to get at that point.

Haha, excellent. I have 1 x OLED Vita; 1 x slim Vita (black) and 2 x PSTV myself! Thinking of getting a Blue Slim to add to the collection too (to run on my US account)

I've never had anything happen to any of my consoles, and I have some 30+ year old stuff around here.

I get that feeling that some of the more recent stuff is not built to last though. Haven't taken any precautions myself however. I got an OG 3DS and a New 3DS XL, but that about the closest I come to owning spare hardware.

I do own 2 Vita TVs though, next to my OLED Vita. But that's really only because they were so ridiculously cheap at some point.

To be fair, I've got most of my original hardware since the 2600, and most things have survived over the years. So, I don't really have a bad track record with hardware going bad. My worry I suppose is your second comment there + the fact that we're talking about a system that's regularly bouncing around in my purse or laptop bag (protected, but still) and has the potential of getting lost/dropped/etc at some point—versus a console that's always sitting at home in the same spot.

Well, plus the fact that we're talking about hardware with built-in screens, which is probably one of the biggest weak points.

They really need to learn how to not piss off potential fans/customers, especially when you're talking about fanatics like us Vita owners. *heh*

"We're really sorry, but it just didn't turn out possible for us to do a Vita port" is what they should have stuck with. The curse of smaller dev studios having no PR teams or PR experience themselves.

I recently went back home for a holiday after about 18 months away, and found my Gameboy dead, GBA screen unplayable (too dark), 360 GPU died, Xbox power button dead (seems like a number of launch units had the same problem). My brother's PSP screen is not functionality, but mine is still going strong.

I'd rather just get a new one then going to take it somewhere to fix.

Having common sense would work just fine.

Is Binding of Isaac Afterbirth really still coming to Vita as mentioned in the OP? It's been years...
I don't expect it to release TBH. This is what they said in October, and that was before they announced a Switch port or were late on Afterbirth+ :
We still haven’t given up on this one, but it’s a VERY low priority. The optimization involved for acceptable performance is a big deal. The little Vita doesn’t like crazy weapon combos.

So I played not a hero, and a Vita Port were impossíble? LOL
that was messed up. Even the way they've said it, with a blog post from a roll7 guy which was pretending the Vita version was never officially announced in the first place but just "considered"...

I would've paid for it but this whole shitty situation made me choose to boycott the game. So glad it's now on ps+

This x1000 . They have been blocking vita dedicated web sites like club ps vita and I play ps vita among others. It's really a bad movement from their side.

Speaking as a long time Nintendo fan the sad fact is that most developers/publishers don't give a shit about non-mainstream platforms and they get away with it. Look at the comments towards Wii U from even big studios.

Hopefully Crossing Souls still comes to Vita.
Welp dont look like its happening anytime soon. Hate when Sony says x game is coming to Vita then shit gets lost in the sauce. Smh

Games we didn't get for the vita:
I am Setsuna
DQ Heroes 2
Romancing SaGa 2 (But apparently they'll bring it over. Guess we'll see).

Square Enix treats Final Fantasy differently. We don't even get English digital release of DQH2 or I Am Setsuna

I'm curious, how vocal has the Vita community been to Square Enix about wanting these games in the West?

People having been asking about the vita versions and/or saying 'no vita, no buy' all over reddit, facebook, sony's blog etc. If SE doesn't want to do it, they won't.

To be fair, this kinda stuff has rarely worked. We had loads of comments for Nights of Azure; Digimon World Next Order and Dragon Quest Heroes 2 and none of them did anything to change the company's minds. The biggest bummer for me is that Nobunaga's Ambition got skipped; and that no-one seems to be kicking up a fuss about Neo Atlas except me (and I'm sure ASW's twitter are stick of hearing from me).

Kotaku report about PQube (and their success on the Vita):
http://www.kotaku.co.uk/2017/02/10/britsoft-focus-pqube

Good stuff.

Interesting quote:

“So is the Vita dead? Not for us, not now – I’d say it’s on the decline, but we still have Vita titles through the next year. Valkyrie Drive was our last Vita-only title, so you could only play that on Vita and that’s done extremely well for us. Visual novel content has done well – Root Letter and the original Steins;Gate has done phenomenally well. The sales on Vita have vastly outstripped the sales on PS4 with something like Root Letter. Steins;Gate was pretty much all on Vita too, then a small amount on PS3

That plus the fact he's saying they've got titles through the year. Even though they've already been leaked pretty much, haha, it's nice to see it confirmed.
