Where to begin? So many lovely games announced in recent weeks for Vita fans. Let's get right to it!
*Release date update - As a die-hard adventure gaming fan, I never thought I'd ever get to say that one of the VERY BEST adventure games will be out on the Vita on January 27th -
GRIM FANDANGO: REMASTERED . DON'T MISS THIS ONE
Here's a
trailer. Thank you Double Fine games! (the folks behind Costume Quest, Stacking, Psychonauts and Broken Age
)
*As if that wasn't great enough, Double Fine outdid themselves and announced
Broken Age for the Vita. The best part is this will actually come day and date with the 2nd (and final) episode of the PC version. Broken Age is a beautiful point & click adventure game starring Elijah Wood and Jack Black among others. See the pics for yourself :0!
*Finally, and surprisingly, a traditional (and new!) Resident Evil game will be hitting the Vita in the form of
Resident Evil Revelations 2 starring Claire Redfield from Resident Evil 2/Code Veronica. Whether you're an ex-resident evil fan (keep in mind this one is a return to the traditional horror roots of the series) or new to the series in general, this one is a great looking 3D horror game for the Vita - a first for the system.
*A HUGE indie game will be hitting the Vita in 2015. And I mean "winner of best indie game at the Game Awards 2015" huge. PC, Wii U and 3DS owners fell in love with this game and now its' time Vita owners get a taste of this delicious pie. I'm talking about
Shovel Knight from Yacht Club Games. In case you didn't know, Shovel Knight is a beautiful love letter to the brutally difficult yet equally fun 2D platformers from the late 80s/early 90s. Plenty of action and adventure awaits you in this one. Expect lots of replay value, great retro music, memorable boss fights, excellent level designs and lovely art. For those who played this gem and want an excuse to play it again, keep in mind that God of War antagonist Kratos will be a part of the Playstation versions. Give the
teaser a watch!
*Here's something you don't hear everyday - a Vita exclusive from the excellent developers Drinkbox Studios (makers of Guacamalee and the Vita gem Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack) called
Severed is coming this spring, 2015. People who tried it out said it was *excellent*. Straight from the devs mouth, "In Severed you take control of a one-armed heroine wielding a living sword. Crazy, eh? You’ll be using touch based mechanics to employ offensive and defensive techniques against a variety of enemies." The
trailer should give you a good idea too.
*From Capybara games, the developers of the cute PS3 puzzler Critter Crunch and the very intriguing upcoming indie game Below, comes the time travelling platformer
Super Time Force Ultra . The Xbox and PC audiences adored this game. Here's the
trailer.. Keep your eyes on this one!
*Another classic adventure game will be returning with a remastered version on the Vita -
Day of the Tentacle Special Edition . Yes, this is another must-try game for adventure gamers worldwide
Thank you Double Fine, yet again! Keep in mind that the gameplay screens below are from the original PC version from waaaaaaay back!
*From Puppygames, the makers of the recent Vita game Titan Attacks! (inspired by Space Invaders), comes their next game for the Vita -
Ultratron . Ultratron is inspired by the classic Robotron. The game will be ported by the lovely Curve Digital.
*Release date update -
Resogun will be released for the Vita on December 17th (EU)/ 24th (NA). For the PS4 owners who got it already, this one's cross buy. For those who have yet to play the game, go for it. Resogun, from the developers behind great, great downloadable titles such as Super Stardust HD and Outland, is a must buy. The port-job has been handled by Climax Studios.
*Canadian indie team Red Hook Studios announced
Darkest Dungeon for the Vita, a dungeon crawling RPG that
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-y5jn1_ltIincorporates a very interesting element: Stress. That's right - the heroes you control in this game are capable of getting stressed throughout their adventure due to many reasons and it will be interesting in how this affects the characters. The game should hit in 2015, though if you made it this far into my note, why not check the
preview out from the devs themselves? You can also check out the
trailer here. This one is worthy of our attention I believe.
*The beautiful looking and playing strategy RPG with a viking theme,
The Banner Saga from Stoic Games, is hitting Vitas
Lovely hand drawn animations and music composer by Austin Wintory (the composer for Journey) add to a very impressive package that is hard to miss.
*The Geometry Wars franchise is finally hitting the Vita with
Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions ; if you're not familiar with the franchise all you need to know is that this is similar to Super Stardust Delta on the Vita and is also a must buy.
*Ever wondered what it must feel like for an octopus father of a human family trying to masquerade as a human? Worry not,
Octodad: Dadliest Catch is coming to the Vita and it is odd indeed (in a very good way). Developed by the indie team Young Horses, this is definitely one of the most unique games coming out for the Vita.
*Before the team at Supergiant Games delivered one of the finest PS4 games to date, Transistor, they developed the critically-acclaimed RPG
Bastion , and now, for the first time, the Vita is getting it sometime next year. Here's the
intro trailer. The game will be ported by BlitWorks (who also ported FEZ and Spelunky to the Vita among others).
*The insanely fun multiplayer (and solo) archery-combat game
Towerfall: Ascension (as well as the DLC, the Dark Tower!) will be hitting the Vita thanks to developer Matt Makes Games
Many of you may have played this on the PS4 already ;D
*Release date update -
La Mulana Ex , the indiana jones-like Metroidvania is hitting the Vita on December 17 in Japan (just a few days to go). Worry not though, the other regions will get it as early as January

Absolute Interception Wars: Metropolis Defenders where you work at a city armed to the teeth with fighting back waves of giant monsters. The game has tower defense elements. (Thanks TAKAO

Might No. 9 is nearly development completion! This game was a result of major kickstarter success and the project is lead by one of earliest Mega Man developers, Keiji Inafune.
*Baseball fans,
MLB 15 the Show will be hitting Vitas on March 31st 2015. Some of the new features this time around include the expected enhanced visuals, new yet-to-be revealed gameplay features as well as smoother online experience. trailer.

Suikoden II from Konami is finally available as a PSone classic. RPG fans who want to get a taste of Konami's (and of the 90s) best RPGs, go for it.

Flyhunter Origins is out now for the Vita.
*Out of nowhere, the game
Boss! is out for the Vita as of a couple of days ago. I don't even recall this was announced haha. Apparently it is a 2D beat em up where you design your own monster and attempt to destroy a kingdom full of heroes and the like fighting against you. Here is a
trailer.
*
