Just started playing Phantasy Star Online 2 again and would love to upgrade tomorrow. However, they and plenty other asian games love using gameguard, which probably won't whitelist Windows 10 for a couple weeks. Wish they would stop using that crap.

Yes it is not releasing until tomorrow (7/29)

Windows 10 is not released yet. It will tell you when its time to install it is just preloading for some people

you were able to play pso 2 on windows 10 as of 2 or 3 weeks ago actually. worked fine for me when I was messing around with the game last week.

The drop box link they posted is dead. That's why I gave up last night.

"GWX Main: App failed to start hresult: The system cannot find the file specified." is what I'm getting at the moment after manually installing KB3035583 and adding the Registry key. I just can't be arsed to put in effort and research to get this going.

If you go here, it gives you manual instructions on how to perform the fix.

You must upgrade it first on your HDD. Then fresh install to the SDD with an ISO.

If you're interested, Minecraft Windows 10 Edition beta is up as well once you get Windows 10 going. Go to https://account.mojang.com/me and make sure your minecraft.net account is linked and it'll be a free download.

Sites being in French has nothing to do with your Windows. The sites just know that you're in Quebec and offer their site in French because of that. I have an English version of Windows but sites (like YouTube) still default to Estonian.

As for being able to choose your Windows to be in English, you can do that whenever. Just go into Windows language settings (click on the language button on the bottom right in the taskbar and go to "language preferences" or whatever you have there), then add a language and finally click on "Options" next to the language of your choice and choose "Make this the primary language" or whatever you have there.

Some sites do use the OS language though. I have more than one computer, and only this one does that.

And for some reason, I was led to believe I couldn't change that. Thanks for the tip.

Check out the thread again. A workaround was posted to get it to work again.

It's a hidden folder in the root. Check if you have hidden files and folders shown. If you do have them shown and you don't see that folder in your Windows drive root, then it hasn't been downloaded.

No. Windows 10 isn't officially released until midnight Eastern US time tonight. Theroetically, after that time, you should be able to run Windows Update and everything will kick off. However, if it doesn't update exactly then just wait as it will be slowly rolling out and updating machines over the coming days/weeks.

As a Insider since like January, I've got to say, the Store has improved, but it's still quite horrible. Probably my biggest gripe with Windows 10 so far. The search function is inaccurate at best, it is still littered with knock-offs and clutter, and the product pages leave a bit to be desired.

Same thing happened to me. I used the command prompt(administration) tip to make the app appear again.

Ok managed to get the windows 10 app come up and reserve my copy. Update centre says it's reserved and to await update. I should probably go to bed at this point. Does it download automatically? If so I'll leave my pc on overnight
