Any news on how to install Windows 10 even if you don't reserve it? For some reason my PC should meet all of the requirements, but I have yet to see the Reserve option yet.

The Reserve Option will only show if you have completed all of the Windows Updates.

They're on the site. Also, I think the OS will try to grab them automatically. In my case I had to restart before they were picked up.

Yep same here. I was actually unable to install them manually (980 ti) but upon restarting it grabbed them automatically and installed them without issue.

Gotta say, 10 is rather nice in the 30 minutes I've spent poking around it.

a lot of people including myself have tried it. It's almost issue-less and makes games run better (for me at least)

You're going to have to wait until an ISO is released if you want to install Windows 10 onto a different drive.

I manually upgraded so I'm using the same USB to install to the ssd lol

I typed "wuauclt.exe /updatenow" into cmd and it started right away.

I typed that wuauclt.exe /updatenow thing and it didn't do anything for me. No text shown after the command just another blank line with the standard C:\users\name>

Downloaded and got over half way when it said 'Preparing to install' and failed twice, so I did the trick from reddit

First time it downloaded a 2GB file, second time a 5GB file and now it's downloading an 8GB file

Failed again after finishing the "Preparing for installation" part and I only got 1 error this time instead of two

Now I'm downloading again and it's an 10.8GB file.. what the hell is going on lol

I did the delete download folder thing, so as that was going on the command prompt thing probably couldn't activate as it was redownloading the 3.67 gigs again.

My first post recently saying it didn't work for me was after the $Windows.~BT folder stopped at 3.67 GB again and I figured I just needed to wait until tomorrow.

Now after it stopped adding files to that folder that command worked.

According to my laptop(When I go to cmd) I have windows version 10.0.10240.16384 how are people getting a higher version..I update everything automatically..I have NOT installed Windows 10 on my PC yet waiting til tomorrow when it officially comes out since I have not been prompted to download it yet

1. For gaming a clean install is basically mandatory
2. It would be for the best to reserve and probably is the only way to get it officially without paying.
