I had my pc on for a while and have done many restarts but my cpu still hits 100% usage. Not sure what the problem is?
Apparently it's tied to your hardware. So if you do a clean Win 10 install without upgrading, you need to reinstall the old Windows first and upgrade it and then do a clean install.
Same thing on my Stepdad's laptop occured . Gave up on it to do later until I find out how to get around that.I can't get this to work. I try to delete those files but it says it can't because they are being used in a current application or something like that?!

Thats what I did though. I upgraded from 8 then did a clean install.
WHAT?!
I had the same problem an hour ago, keep trying and it will probably activate. I tried like 20 times. It says that my windows isn't activated.. What can i do? My 8.1 key was valid..
I got the crumple paper sfx still.
So all the people updating with an NVIDIA card is going to have problem with the display driver?

Anyone get GTAV running? Getting a dependency mfreadwrite.dll is missing error. Rockstar says to install these things, but they are windows 8 related. https://support.rockstargames.com/h...ease-reinstall-the-game-errors-on-GTAV-for-PC
Right after the first boot it hadn't managed to install the Nvidia driver. I just downloaded and installed it myself. Easy fix, just a few minutes.
You can control your entire Xbox, it appears to just mirror the screen. I think a couple of apps are limited though, I couldn't go on Netflix for example.

I thought the upgrade was tied to your Microsoft account? Shouldn't you be fine if you log in to your account on the fresh install?

Is there a way to get cortana to respond to "Hey Cortana". I know on the phones she does this but couldnt find anything on the desktop
How is it with XBox and PS4 controllers? Are there any bugs?
Oh I misunderstood. I thought it was the metro menu of Windows.

Is it possible to use the program's game DVR to screenshot non-xbox games that I added to my library in the app itself?
Should I have received my download notification by now? Are they sending them out in waves?

You can force the download by running a command line command as long as you have the upgrade icon in your system tray. Google it.Should I have received my download notification by now? Are they sending them out in waves?

I think that's either bullshit, or it hasn't been implemented yet. When you go through the upgrade process, behind the scenes it gives you a completely new product key, which you'll need to find and input if you reinstall from scratch. There's no automatic activation simply from signing in with your Microsoft account.
If you don't know your Windows 10 product key, you're going to have to reinstall Windows 8 and upgrade again.

Just be sure NOT to update using the Windows Update driver, iirc.
It's able to be turned off in the settings

At home and at work I registered for the upgrade, but in neither case does it allow me to ugprade yet. Anyone know what's going on? I click the thing and it just says I've reserved my copy and I'll be notified when it's available.
GTAV works fine for me on Windows 10 - running a 4770K & 980 Ti (353.62 drivers)
Wrong. I upgraded to RTM from 8.1 and after checking if my installation was activated I reformatted and installed Windows 10 clean skipping all of the "key" prompts. Once I reached the desktop and was signed in with my MS account it automatically activated.
