I have a strange issue with DOA5 and the Xbox One controller on Windows 10. The controller seems to work fine in the menus, but when I get to the actual fighting is when I get all kinds of weird issues. I can't move left or right, only duck. My Y (punch) works fine, but B (kick) only kind of works if I'm holding certain directions. This is true for both the analog stick and the Dpad, and it only happens during fights. Sometimes, the characters act like they're always blocking. I can control the camera just fine after the fight, my 360 controller works just fine, and the Xbox One controller works fine for other games. No idea what is going on here. I've reinstalled the driver and that's pretty much all I can do. I've been troubleshooting this issue in a couple of places and just thought I'd bring it up here. I found the standalone drivers and tried installing them several ways, but the issue persists.
Other issues include me wishing I could customize the start menu more (to put back "My Computer"), the fact that it will not recognize that Thunderbird is installed (even after uninstalling and reinstalling it), and a small amount of wonkiness I can work around. Still, running pretty good so far.
