I can see the PS1 RPGs holding up, but what about the 3D games like Dino Crisis and Syphon Filter?

Some great classics all for ten bucks; talk about a killer deal. The best part is that I never played these games, so I will be playing many of these PS1 games for the very first time (heard great things about the Dino Crisis, Wild Arms and Legend of Dragoon 
).

Pretty nice haul, though it kinda sucks that the PS4 can't play any of these PS1 games yet even the PS2 had sofware emulation of the PS1. Out of the PS1 titles the Vita can't play Legend of Dragoon. Seriously Sony?

Between Papo & Yo, The Cave, and Malicious, which one would you guys recommend?

It's more complex, definitely , more moves, magic/moves that can be equipped and a parry/dodge mechanic that's really well done.
If you're not into that, you can go through it with just punches, kicks and an occasional spin kick.
but it is quite tough AT FIRST; highly recommended overall from me
I would if I could get it on my vita without having to transfer from a ps3 :/

It can? Good to know, it's not listed as playable on Vita like the other games for some reason.
The main reason why PS2 had the ability to play PS1 games to begin with was due to the fact that the PS2 used the PS1 CPU as I/O controller/processor. No software emulation required.

Just the other day I was talking about how that exact Harvest Moon blew my mind. You can marry some of the female characters in that game, and one of them has a family that works with chickens. I eventually married her and she gave me an egg. I named the chicken that hatched from it after her and she not only noticed, but said it was really sweet.

How does Dino Crisis 1 and 2 hold up now? Tank controls like RE2?
It's considered by many to be the best Harvest Moon game (or at least alongside). The biggest issue with the PS1 version was the loading times. If they fixed that, get it. It's absolutely amazing.
says "this weekend only" so i'd assume it will be gone by monday morning.
Ah ok, I'll just grab them from the PSN store when I get home then.

They actually took that out and went full software when the PS2 slim came out. Their PS1 emulation is pretty good, the PSP had PS1 support through software, I remember people where using custom exploits that was letting people use PS1 isos on the PSP before Sony officially released PS1 support on the PSP. There isn't really anything technical stopping PS1 support on PS4.

Yup, you have to transfer it via PS3 but it works perfectly.

I am on a mission to get every classic jrpg on the store in my Vita when they are on a discount. Waiting for Xenogears, Grandia and all the Final Fantasies. But for now will grab these.

Does Syphon Filter hold up today? I've never played it before and I've heard good things, but I don't want to buy it just to be disappointed that all the good things were said with nostalgia goggles on.
