I did my little shift today and I noticed that RE5 finally has a release date. I need to find out why the CE costs 89.99. There was also an email today saying that Gamestop isn't going to sell PSN cards until next year. It has something to do with the POS system tha Gamestop employs.

Ya PSN cards are set up like ITunes cards that arent activated till sold...our POS isnt set up for that I guess...

No idea on RE5...some people say its coming with a headset like Chris's...who knows though.

edit: I only sold to reserves today regarding ToV...no walk-in's...I left early though so who knows how they did tonight..we got 12+ copies in.

Well, the wave of price cuts did hit the Sunday circulars with practically every store advertising it.

As for TV, I've seen a lot of Rockband 2 commercials touting it's timed exclusivity on XB360 as well as the system now starting at $199.

Haven't seen the commercials yet...good idea on their part. Though RB2 doesn't seem to be as big as I had hoped it would be with our reserve amounts. We've sold a ton of used 360's though...if that matters :lol

For my store:


Wii- Sold out since last week so none so far.

PS3- Sold about 10 to 12 so far this week. (Down to 3)

Xb360- None sold this week had 2 returns on arcades that were bought last Friday.
(We did sell around 10 last Friday, the first day of the price drop so maybe that explains this weeks zero sold.) Those two arcades returned were from Friday. Apparently one didn't work out of the box no idea what the other reason was.

We're a high volume store. On "non wii weeks", we'll easily sale over 50 systems across all consoles.

We're a high volume store. On "non wii weeks", we'll easily sale over 50 systems across all consoles.

Makes sense...we're a decently busy store, but not a high volume by any means. This is one of our slowest weeks ever based on last years numbers so who knows

I went to the Gamestop in my local area today to pick up a Hori PS3 Fighter stick.

In his words,

360 - The 360s had recieved no real bump, but they were selling through at the normal rate. The 360 arcades were stagnant. The Elites were now the top selling SKUs.

PS3s- PS3s are selling in large numbers, but they can't get rid of their lingering 40gbs.

Wii- As for the Wiis, he laughed and thought I was a scalper.
