Is there anyway to connect my pair of headphones to my PS2? I usually attach my Headphones directly to the television....but what I get is really sub-par sound quality. Nothing like what I hear while playing DVDs on my laptop

Right idea, but make sure you have amplified headphones, cause without some sort of amplifation you can barely hear it. I attemped this back when I took a trip and brought my gamecube, I ended up not brining it cause I could barely anything.

PS2 puts a line level signal out. You just need a way to amplify/control the sound output.

get one like that but with the female stereo side so you can plug in your headphones. i use that exact one there, my ps2 red and white audio cables plugs in there and it plugs into my computer and my headphone is plugged to my computer speakers. this way i can record music from any game i like. check your radioshack or some other similar store.

You missed the point. PC speakers have amplification... Headphones (mostly) do not.
