Valve could shit on the floor and people would rave about it and spend millions of dollars to have some of the poop.
They do not need to follow any 'conventional' marketing means whatsoever.
Do Valve really think they can dodge Half-life 3 questions by not appearing at a game show? Like me and millions of other fans that have been abandonded by a cliffhanger ending, are going to forget about Valves betrayal to Half-Life?!
Too me, Valve are anti-gamers. They create a fantastic game series, release sequels, end with A BIG CLIFFHANGER and for some time act like they are making a third game but suddenly stop talking about it and it has still been 8 years of silence!!
I dont care about Steam, Steam Machine, Steam Console or whatever. Valve promised sequels and ended the last game with a cliffhanger. They owe us a sequel to the cliffhanger they created!

If Half Life 3 came out tomorrow would you buy it?

If Half Life 3 came out tomorrow would you buy it?
Of course! In an instance!
I'd want a reason why they took so long on something that was supposed to be episodic.
Especially with that cliffhanger.
Although the answer is simple: Dota2 ruined valve.
