It means he typed that post before the day started. So his plan from the start was to halt all discussion until he had 7+ votes for whatever reason.
He is probably caught mafia that wants to kill all discussion for the phase because he's going down anyway.
Swamped looks like mafia with CM if that's the case. Her post could have also been planned and pre-written to put distance between them:

I want to hear what CM has to say so for now I am voting him up. However I have doubts on Hobohodo and might change my vote to him. He posted that awesome conversation chart day 1 which made even Ace Investigator like me look bad. You dont't get to post that and survive for 2 nights unless you are scum. He should have long been dead.
Also he voted for MickD if that counts. But I voted for him too, so that is not a strong point.

Sorry for being MIA. The holiday really crushed my posting opportunities. I'm inclined to believe Blag's accusation for now. It seems like an odd lie to make at this point, and he's being unusually straight to the point. CM's ploy is a little off if he's scum. I'm guessing he's town with some strange connection to scum or has a power that targets people who vote for him. I'd be willing to vote CM, but only after more time has passed. It'd be nice
So far, I'm most suspicious of Satanic Saint. I expected him to be targeted by scum by now for claiming investigator. I'm keeping my eye on him. Swamped didn't ping my radar as scum, but I may just not being paying enough attention to her posts.

No reason not to believe him though that seems like a silly thing to lie about. The poisoner could just have limited uses and waited a day.

I'm role claming today.
I made it seem like my role had something to do with votes but it doesn't. I did it mainly to see who is active in the game and as a way of recording who will believe my claim and who doesn't. No doubt, some of you won't believe me and scum will try and get me lynched today. Seemed like a good idea at the time.
My reasons for claiming now is so that everyone can see that the lynch at the end of Day 2 was between 2 townies. I've tried to be active in the thread to appear town in the hopes of drawing a night kill but that's hard to do when almost no one thinks I'm town. As the game goes on I'm more likely to be a lynch target. I feel it's a fair trade off to claim now rather than trying to argue with everyone and role claiming near the end of the day. So far only Swamped has come out and said that she thinks I'm town.
Why am I trying to align myself with Swamped? I felt she's probably the only person in this game that can read me correctly. It would be good if she came out and said I was town. Also it seemed like an interesting play to try at the start just to see how she'd react though I'll admit I think I overdid it yesterday. I would have voted for Blargonaut initially even if Swamped hadn't just to pressure him. The Zubz vote was me just trusting that Swamped would eventually post some strong reasons why he's scum.
The choice is simple, if you don't believe me then vote me out. I flip town and you waste a day. If Blargonaut is telling the truth about the poison then it's mistake we shouldn't make.
If you believe I'm town, then we should look back at the end of Day 2 and try and piece together what was happening.

Okay so if you're town you can be certain of your alignment but you can't be certain of swamped's alignment, right?
Why not vote who you think is mafia, instead of who swamped thinks is mafia?
You said you voted zubz before swamped gave adequate reasons. So you're trusting that she's town, for no reason, and you're trusting she'll give reasons for her vote.
It looks like you're working together, you got called out hard yesterday and town almost lynched you, now today you're making a desperate claim while swamped initially tries to distance and then "wants to believe you're town" just in case this fake claim works.

At the time (D2 end) I did feel that there was some apathy floating around, as if some people didn't really care which way the vote went. For example Ynnek's vote for MickD was unexplained (although that might be because it was very last minute. Let's see what he says today). There were certainly people who didn't have an active vote at the end of D2: Time, Blarg, Infinit, and StMeph.

Going to look at Infinit more closely, as he is definitely in my blind spot. I really do think we have been scumhunting in the wrong places. We really need to hit scum today if we want a good chance of winning.
At this point Zubz could have changed his vote to CM, putting CM in the lead. I guess he also town read CM though? He says that he thought he would cause a tie but El Topo posted right after with the updated vote count.
Also, Hobo started the MickD train. Squishy started the CM train. Pretty towny move from Hobo but I used to train trains all the time as scum, especially early in the game. Warrants a closer look.
I agree that it is useless to claim commuter as town. Maybe he used both his shots? That's why he didn't claim yesterday even though he was on the cutting board?
The one suspicious thing is that CM asked for 7 votes. As Mafia that's kind of risky because a lot of those votes could remain at day's end, making them that much closer to being lynched. However he did claim much before that. Maybe he did feel that was too risky.
Batsnacks, I know you think we are 'colluding' or something, but the reason I am 'biased' (I feel like all my explanations for my actions are good) is because I know I am town. And I cannot think why a scum CM would latch on to me, apart from the fact that we read each other pretty well.
I looked at Infinit pretty closely a few days ago and couldn't really get a good read on them one way or another. If they are scum they are pretty much gliding through this, but also aren't giving away anything too obvious.
